• sits in tunnel

    Now what?

Presumably for the cost difference between an 808 and a cheap rim you could bag an hour in a wind tunnel if you can find someone to rent you theres'

  • "Track use only"

That's going to be a bugger when you have to circle right at the turn roundabout.

  • Shit, better find some left turn only courses.

  • I think there are a couple of clover-leaf junctions on the A3, so look for P courses and you might be OK. Also fine on the H10/10 and HCC234

  • Does feel stiff to turn, but perhaps that'll change when it's in a frame?

Actually, thinking about it, it was a 28 hole hub I got from Evans last year. Might be the same one you've got. Didn't feel right, so I took it back, but then again it was a lot more when I bought it!

  • It's got 25 spokes too many.

  • First weekend with my Power2max, it has left/right balance which I've not used before.

It would appear that I am quite skewed- 40% left and 60% right.

  • I voted for the Greens.

  • Was that for an entire ride or an effort?

    Seems odd.

P2M is it real left right? Two separate strain gauges? I don't think so?

  • No, it uses the accelerometer it uses for cadence calculations to work out when you're using which leg. It's a bit of a fudge, rather than being a proper separate measurement for left and right.

  • just another metric isn't it though - not really a useful number.

  • Yeah ignore it then.

  • I thought we'd established that about LR Bal about 20 pages back?

  • Apologies - I am new to the Powernerdz thread.

    450W/ban

Kinda. It knows where the crank arms are when the Power is being produced. Then it assumes all Power comes from downward force.

But if you go around pulling With Your left, and pushing With Your right. You're just as unbalanced in a way, as if you where one sided. So its a decent number.

just another metric isn't it though - not really a useful number.

I think if Dammit really is 40:60 peddling. Knowing about it would be bloody useful.

Thing is. If it was on the big Climb. It could be you pulling With Your left as much as pushing. But simply pushing With Your right as its stronger. Thats not totally logical. But even if its a little true. It would take a slight inbalance and trick the P2M into exagerating it.

  • I dream of 450w

  • That's funny, I put out 450W in my sleep. :P

  • Some serious snoring

  • According to my sleep tracker I only tend to snore after a massive ride or post boozing and only for a few minutes. My left/right sleep balance is spot on though.

  • I cruised along the valley to Trollstigen at 45:55 L:R.

Then during the steep bit at the end of the valley, and during all Three of the repeats of the Climb. I was closer to 48:52 L:R

I climbed Dalsnibbe, and each rep of Trollstigen at 265w. Eagle road at 300w. Which was stupid. But I dont know of any other way to get up the bastard.

  • L/R balance does seem to even out as you work harder.

  • replacing powertap bearings - what do I need to know? Where should I buy them from?

I did expect it to og the other way. But having looked at this a few times, it never does.
