• I have a Powertap SL+ and a wired SRM* on Hollowgram SIs that I can sell.

    • (Which I need to send to be serviced)
  • I had a complex series of swaps, sales, and purhases lined up. To turn my 3D 110 rotors, with 34/50 Q-rings into a 3D+ P2M, with 36/52 QXL rings.

    Then it vanished......

    :(

  • Yeah I'm pretty sure a guy from my club bought that. Sorry guys.

  • ^^^^Me too.

I never know if I think it was worth it, untill after Ive won/lost though.

  • :(

To be frank. Im still unsure about moving to 170mm from 165mm.
    Hmmmmm.

    There, but not there.

Oh 10:00 CET? What is CET, from a German company. Bloody america.

  • Anyone know what the system weight is on P2Max w/ S-Works cranks versus my current setup of Powertap with S-Works cranks?

For S-type they claim an extra 122g for a 130 bcd. So if you go from PT G3 at 325, to a DA 9000 at 247g. You're adding 44g.

  • So 122g over whatever is on the bike vs. 325g (- existing hub weight) = no farkin idea.

I have the old style hubs and I'm just wondering if the G3 is lighter than the S-Type? Guess it comes down to hub choice.

  • Think of it this way.

The G3 will be the lighter option unless you go below 200g in a replacement rear hub. Which is weight weenie territory. I used a DA9000 hub as a decent example.

Its as close as to make no difference though. It really depends where you want your PM.

  • I have my credit card out, and am playing the shopping cart game with a 970euro PM. :S

Nearly completed the order but need to see what my 200 extra euros actually buy me.

    Central European Time.

Not quite sure what that has to do with the septics.

  • When I upgrade my PM, I want a lighter option.
If I move to crank power and run a full disc rear then I'm probably going to end up with a lighter setup than running the G3 + spokes, rim, wheel covers.

    A zipp disc is 935g for a 900.

    A PT G3 HED disc is 1379g.

A PT G3 32 spoke alu rear is 1044g (clincher). I guess covers arent exactly light.

  • Super-9 Carbon Clincher is 1175g

    I wouldn't buy a PT disc.

AeroJacket are supposedly 300-400g. RalTech do lighter carbon ones - maybe 200g

  • Super-9 Carbon Clincher is 1175g

I just chucked that in for comparison.

    Are wheel covers really 400g?

    Super-9 + P2M S-works spider added weight = 1175 + 122 = 1297g
    G3 alu wheel + covers = 1044 + 400 = 1444g

Really not that much. Weight wont decide this one. The cadence feature of the P2M is neat, and you get guesstimated left/right data. But ultimately it depends on the flexibility of each option. Sounds like you have enough PT wheels to make that a mute point though.

  • Cadence feature? I don't really use cadence - I know how fast I pedal and PT has an estimated cadence anyway.

Left/Right isn't an issue, only care about total power - if I'm crooked or something, it'll soon show up with a little built-in feature I have called pain.

Yep, plenty of PTs, but I'm planning upgrades and weight is becoming an issue. Mine especially :)

  • The P2M has an accelerometer to give a real time cadence reading, as opposed to the the guesstimate based on a single magnet.

I'd say P2M if you have PTs for other bikes anyway. But weight, features, and flexibility all seem a bit unimportant.

    Toss a coin?

147g extra weight is almost 3 snickers bars in the back pocket.

    P2M + 3 snickers bars or a PT wheel + cover?

  • a moot point

    ftfy.

I think PT cadence is based off torque pulses.

I guess I'm looking at crank power + disc as a way to shed a bit of rotating weight from the bike and since the G3 now requires a different head unit, there's nothing tying me to the LYC.
