Also had a little splash on that, I'd predetermined that it would be before stage 5, he took one look at the profile and the schl-ute was opened.
God bless Andy 'Fair-weather' Schleck.

To be fair, it was a selfie-seeking spectator induced collision that brought him down and apparently his knee needs operated on, though maybe that's just PR spunk to make him look more gnarly : /
Trek must be fucking pissed at the salary they've been paying him these last years.

I did love how he said he was sorry not to be there to 'help defend my brother Frank's GC ambitions'. Probably just as well be fucked off home, it's not like it'll make much of a difference!

Am I missing something? Did Andy confess to doping or has he been sanctioned?
-
• #1356
Does it matter? We're cycling fans, everyone's a doper.
-
• #1357
he's not confessed but looking at the performance gap between 2010 and now, and his total silence on Contador's getting popped, it's not exactly unfair to suggest he's not entirely the rider he used to be because he's not taking the risk of getting caught like dear brother Fronck did.

Understood...there's not much love lost for him on here though is there?

Hang on, ITV aren't streaming it live anymore? Fair weather cunts.

Do they start later?

Not from the start. They generally don't.
-
• #1363
Starts at 2pm on ITV4
-
• #1364
Hopefully all the chaos hasn't already happened by then.
-
• #1365
They won't have hit any of the cobbles by then.
-
• #1366
S'gonna be good.
Come on Tim!

nah, not really-he's always come across as a bit of a whinger and dependent on his brother and I think that turned folk off him, even before the 'fall off every stage' phase of his career.
But like i said, personally i think I've reached the point where I feel too sorry for him to find much real humour in his misfortunes. Plus I fractured my pelvis too and it's a huge pain in the ass (literally) even now even if it's not an obstacle to riding, so there's always that.

• #1368
How can they be changing the route so late in the day?
-
• #1369
Because the money relies on the big names making it to Paris.
-
• #1370
meh.
GC contenders should be riding the conditions and staying safe. Leaves it open for others to grab a stage win. Where's the problem? Even if Canc wins by 5 mins, Froome et al will erase that easily by the end of the second mountain stage.

Surely at the sacrifice of a few pounds some mtb style body armour wouldnt go amiss?
-
• #1372
Especially when he grabs a beer and cigar at the finish line. I vote Cross bikes and 42's. Hell, a 'dale 29er.
-
• #1373
there won't be any of the cobbled sections left by then.
ftfy :(
-
• #1374
If people crash, THEN neutralise the bloody thing, but at least let them have a crack at it. Some of the riders might actually be looking forward to a race over the cobbles.
-
• #1375
Disappointing if they change stage for this, it's a level playing field* so htfu.
- waterlogged cambered cobbled street, same difference.

Yeah. Sympathy is reaching critical levels in me.
