I don't like Wiggin's attitude towards the Tour and Froome, sounding as though he might attack him and go for the win
Let someone else have a go Brad -

Rubbish, any top rider worth his salt would want to lead in the tour especially as they were defending champion. I fully expect Wiggins to challenge for the tour this year, though he may struggle against froome

I think he has to talk himself up, so people don't ignore him, he may have to justify himself at another team in the future. It could equally just be a tactic to take the pressure off Froome, so he (Froome) can just get on with the job!

The individual TT is on stage 11. It's clearly possible that will put wiggo in yellow. The major mountains (ventoux/AdH) come later.
Will be interesting to see what happens to Sky team tactics if on ventoux it ends up being a quartet of contador/froome/wiggo/A N Other and wiggo cannot immediately match the speed of a contador attack. Will froome be allowed to drop a yellow jersey wearing wiggo?

I get this, just said I don't like it after Froome's incredible work last year

Froome was a domestique, he did what he was paid to do, ride for the team leader. As a result he's getting a shot at leading his own team, starting with the Vuelta last year.
It gives Sky a huge advantage having both in the Tour squad, and adds a gooddollop of spice. Anyway Wiggins has to ride the Giro and Froome the Dauphine and come through unscathed first, so merely conjecture at the mo'

Sky should give it up and let Eurosport do it properly.
This. Always.

^ Eurosport comes at no 3. Even Dutch telly is better, but nowhere near Flemish coverage and commentary. So you should just all learn to understand Dutch and watch the only channel there is for cycling - Sporza.
-
• #2235
Yep, disappointing from Sky, rolling out Mr 50% Rob Hayles, repeated a montage of a Froome interview/training they had shown the day before, there loads of fluff after the riding had finished instead of final classification graphic, a quick ogle of the podium girls before straight into adverts and then World Championship curling

Only if you speak forrun. I don't so Eurosport provides the best coverage of any I've seen around the globe. Also, is Sporza even available in the UK?

Sounds like ITV. 15min of actual cycling coverage and 45min of Boulting/Boardman filler.

on which note, will ITV4 be doing Giro highlights. Crap, but definitely better than nothing.

Channel 5 has a "preview" show on Friday. ?

eurosport have the giro live and I believe exclusively, so could always catch up on the eurosport player..
not sure if they are doing a live show or just coming straight to the stage..

So is this eurosport player any good (don't have a tv)? I've never used it and I'm not keen on paying if it's a pile of crap. That said, £5 to be able to watch all the giro isn't too bad and I can cancel it as soon as it's over so I don't have to pay for a second month. Looks like they are showing the entire thing live, plus an hour or so of highlights in the evening.
-
• #2243
That's the norm, yeah. HD Live during the day and a ~1hr highlights pack evenings.
-
• #2244
I think Sky are doing the Giro, at least a highlights package, however it's a no brainer to watch it on Eurosport instead

I've used it for about 2 years and it's really good. If you have HDMI on your laptop (?) and TV then you can plug it in and hey presto..

4 man Cannondale??
Skygo is awful. I can't believe they actually released it - it's like using a pre-beta platform which was developed in 2004 and shelved.
