also.....
criminal?
-
• #153
Yes!
You might get away with it though. -
• #154
Ok so i've finished fiddling with this, It's so much easier to ride now and I feel more comfortable having sealed bearing wheels. Though I know some of you will hate bits of it......(*ahem*thomson)
-
• #155
What ya do with the other wheels?
-
• #156
Sold them on I'm afraid, they definitely weren't rain proof! Also I always had a nagging fear that I would fuck them up.
I thought you were sorted for wheels chris, havent you got that lovely campag-campag set up?
-
• #157
Another day another build... ha. I NEED some dark rimmed wheels for my cafe bike. Note Cafe, not pub. Smug pub or Cafe... not Dalston, so can be nice wheels...

Really liking it with the mavics. Personally not loving the thomson, i recon a black anodised campag post would look stunning on it though
-
• #159
Nice, the black parts work well, almost think it needs black cranks now.
-
• #160
^^B0n0r that's a good shout - i've been looking online but they don't seem to come up too often.
^ cheers george! haha don't go starting me down that path - will probably get a black chainring though
-
• #161
Koga do a knock off campag aero post in black :)
-
• #162
Really Apollo ?! I'm googling that....
-
• #163
Can't find the koga one but BLB make one
-
• #164
That blb post is sweet- might hold out for a hallowed anodised campy one though...
I'll see.In the mean time, I picked up part of a possible headset (cheap on the bay) - just need one of those 2nut conversion kits
-
• #165
Now the question is, what colour should the compression cap and nut be?
Pink i recon, for maximum clash. -
• #166
Ahahah that's the reason it was cheap - originally came with a gold top cap :s
Thought if I went black it might not look to hideous ?
-
• #167
Yeah, the black would suit your build well, all it needs then is black campag pista's. :)
-
• #168
I would just strip and polish them so they match.
-
• #169
Not sure what you mean Hugo? strip the CK headset cups?
Just got my hands on a stem which pretty much is a gamechanger for the entire build.
Also a few decent bits that were previously part of this bike are here:

Final build!
Campy record ti post and itm Krystal ti stem - unbelievable reduction in road vibration!
When I'm next feeling flush I may put drop levers on and build a new wheelset -
• #171
Blingggg....

• #172
Il be drinking tap waters at the pub for a bit but its totally worth it!
