Mikey, what handlebar is that? the shape look great.

What frame is that?

It was post Supercross - HOTN wasn't that muddy and only needed intermediate rubber - this was with full on Mud 2 race wear!
Ed - Bars are Nitto Randonneur - not sure which model - but they have a bit of a flare to them. Will have a look later.

Almost thought they were a modern oversized drop bar, didn't realised it's the as mine!
-

Ha!
I built the bike up as a half modern Randonneur (it normally has a front rack, 28c slicks and mudguards) half CX.

I no longer worried about the whole hydro disc after seeing TRP's, loved the shape of the Di2 levers.

BOOM! Last piece of puzzle required is an awkward 33mm seatpost clamp, I have ordered KCNC one but that will get delivered in 2 weeks time where this bike is going to be ready on tuesday; marc (skulls) at Kinoko said he can do something with a 31.8 clamp in the meantime.
Also, I had bought Thomson 27.2 seatpost that I will sell soon for 31.6 one but I might get a cheap seatpost in the meantime to see if I need inline or setback with a 100mm stem.

There is a 31.6 Thomson here for £30 posted....

Thank me later.x

^ saw that but he is neg repped and I am almost 80% sure I need a layback
Edit: I use inline post on a 53 cm effective TT frame with a 90mm stem, this is 52 cm effective TT with 100mm stem, do I need inline or layback?
-
• #141
IIRC he's neg repped for a popcorn incident, not a selling shortfall.
He's on my instagram seems like a genuine chap.
You might get lucky and find someone looking to swap if you do end up needing layback? Bit cheap not to innit... I would buy it, but have that exact post on my commuto-cross already...

Logic says you would need an inline anyway, but scoble will be along shortly to tell us about seat tube vs head tube angles and something something....
-
• #144
yea for £30 I dont mind going trial and error way, I might end up with longer stem instead as with stem I can go with 10mm increments where as layback seatpost is 25mm (isnt it?). Plus long stem looks pro ;)
-
• #145
In most cases I would rather saddle centred on inline post and longer stem, than layback and shorter stem (within reason). Think it comes down to personal preference/fit though.

Yea, need to ride/turbo and judge

This, if you're running modern saddle and the frame have a normal seat angle, in line would be fine.

No, never do this, sort out your saddle to bb distance first before you can figure out what stem length you need.
Unless you want the bike to look slavery that is.

^ yup, need to jump on turbo and judge as soon as its done

Boom!
Fresh out of workshop shot.
Rode it home with less saddle to bar drop obviously.
Needs all the fitting tweaks starting with slamming and flipping the stem and getting rid of ScobleStack™ Might need a longer stem too.
Weights close to 10kg; it was never meant to be a WW build anyway.
Couldn't be happier rides really well without any tweaks done yet.BIG thanks to Kinoko cycles; every one in workshop for being patient with the build and delivering when I really needed! Thanks to Tom Donhou for tweaking the chainstay quickly.
