just had a look at their ss road bike. price difference with full carbon enve fork instead of stock steel is 190 euro, 160 pounds. wow, are they not more expensive?

They are about 300quid.
They upgrade a fair bit of the stuf from option 1>2

• #631
not on the SS.

You're right. My bad.
I think they are nice, but pricey
-
• #633
yeah. and too bad they don't offer the sscx with the enve fork. that would have been hot.

Anyone using Gates Carbon Belt Drive on their SSCX? Tempted to build up a super light SS rig for next year. I know the US Raleigh team were pushing it last year but it doesn't seem to be common yet.

Never seen a hub with full length thread for track cog like that. Do you know what brand it is? I could do with something like this but a disc version.
There's no branding on it, came on my Trek District.

First iteration of the new SSCX. Some stuff will be upgraded, but it is rideble now.Using Hope SS hub on Stans Crest rims. Quite nice.

Dude, I saw this on eBay, it was me offering the tenner plus postage!
I have seen something like this before, I have a Redline Monocog 29er. It is SS at the back, with a hub like this; splines for Shimano, but threaded too. I took it to the LBS recently when the lock ring slipped off - I don;t have a tool to tighten it. They were flummoxed, had never seen anything like it before. So it is a bit of a rarity. Mine is fine for now, but taking the lockring off will probably finish the threads, so I was thinking of getting yours just in case - hence the low ball offer. I notice you took the diplomatic option and ignored it.
Still stands should you still want rid....

Was not sure where else to ask but I am putting together SS all city nature boy.
Bike will be mostly use as a commuter - so need a strong but also light-ish wheel set 130 spacing
Any ideas ? Budget = 250
Thanks

Shimano road hubs (Tiagra or 105), 32 butted spokes 3x and decent quality touring rims from Mavic or Rigida. Perhaps Velocity a23 if you want lighter rims.

Hah, that and I also don't actually know where the lockring is!
I'll have a look when I get a chance to rummage in the man cave next.
It's the same lockring as old fashioned bottom brackets use so I should have something.
Will let you know.
