Why? Brakes in cyclocross are solely there to scrub off some speed when required, and most of the time stopping pedalling can have the same effect.
fair enough, i know nothing about cx and had the image of thuekr doing some mad unintentional whip skidz in the mud in my head.

Who need brakes when you have feet?

How much difference is one likely to feel in real life between the pompino and the all city nature boy? the nature boy is obviously a little more refined aesthetically, but find it hard to justify the extra cost on this basis alone, given that the change could be spend on a carbon fork in order to shed some weight on the pompino f+f.

I faced the same dilema a few months back, I think it boils down to what your intended use is gonna be. I wanted to put something together for commuting and the local gravel/dirt paths in the woods, not for racing. If I had more money it would have been the nature boy but the cheapness of the pomp and extra mounting points won out in the end.
The difference in the nature boy isn't all aesthetic. It has integrated cabling, rust proof coating and a better geo for racing. That green paint sure is puurty tho!

The Pompino is pretty much the best frame out there - so multi purpose and at a ridic price point.

^The man speaks truth. Once all of my projects are finished, I think I may buy a second Pompino for sscx purposes.

One should do - just have a race setup and normal/bruiser setup
Although, N+1 I guess :)

Pomp with carbon fork is frankly better than Nature Boy for the money IMHO.

far from perfect, but quite nice still

Shame they went under, would like to have that frame,

N+1 indeed! I just think it'd be relatively cheap and very fun, to have a second that is. But, I don't really think I will be needing more than three bikes....

It's my next bike.
Although considering I never ride the GT mebe I should just sell that and buy a cross bike. -

Since i've had my Pompetamine it's been like havin four different bikes. I just change a few bits about depending on what I want to use It for. It's frickin awesome. Everyone should own a pomp!
