  • "I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed, is, at a year old, a most delicious nourishing and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricasie, or a ragoust."

  • Bloody Belgian footbal league........damnation.
Le broadcast ends at 21:00 I wont be any where near Oxintonshire untill midnight.

    Good man.

Now I know we should be using compass, sextant, and a copy of the Old Testament for navigation but if anyone can Garmin up the ride, especially the Ealing C'mon to Iver leg, that would be really appreciated.

  • hey branwen, i was on the bournemouth ride too (wasn't riding fixed like you tho!) and will probably be riding fixed tomo as well

  • apologies in advance, but I think I might be sans-mudguard tomorrow, unless I can make it out of the orrriffice in time to buy a clip on. which is looking very unlikely.

just think how much more hard those rapha riders would be if they finished the films at the pub, with everyone's faces covered in rooster tail remnants.

    See you at Putney Bridge

Oh curses. Forgot that had my clip on (ooh err misses ) nicked in Mayfair, yes Mayfair, earlier in the week. Looks like Badoit bottle to the rescue or clear glasses at least.

  • egad - I see it's forecast to rain all day.

Am undecided what I'm riding but will be mudguarded up whatever the decision is.

  • Not that I was ever officially in, but, out.

Good to have you on board.

Folks, can you confirm where you are meeting the crew, if not done already? Do not want to leave someone high and dry as we did not expect to see them at a particular point.

  • Providing it ain't chucking it down, I'll be on putney bridge with my bro.
See you bright and early folks!

  • ^ Likewise, with forum cap on

  • maaaaaaaaaaaaan, no can do, workin all throughout the weekend, unless i sell my soul to me boss and he gets someone else instead to do my shift

Do it, well worth the sacrifice. Faust had it right.

Oh, and do not listen to the Cambridge weather soothsayers. A light sprinkling of autumnal showers first thing, clearing to glittering sunshine on on the road ahead as the day develops.

  • Train tickets purchased and lifts sorted so no matter what it's doing I'll be at Iver. Just settling into the curry and first beer NOW!

  • Thanks dude. I'll be getting the train with Airtime.

I'll also be sans mudguards unfortunately. Maybe me and the guy above can take it in turns to draft each other so we only get sprayed in the face..

    See yous all at Iver.

  • hmm, I'm suddenly impulsively tempted by this. Was just thinking how I fancied a ride that wasn't a commute, it's been bloody ages. Is fixed/front brake two brakes?

  • Booga, jochta and me meeting you all at the Fox & Hounds at the top of Christmas Common sometime after one - have a safe ride and see you then.

  • Feeling jaded from some work-related shenanigans, but all being well will see you good people on Putney Bridge at the appointed time. Will text Upstart Tim if any change.
