Just found this one too...

Just bought one of these... and then read comments online stating that it won't work with my Shimano rear derailleur, so I'll have to buy a matching SRAM x3 rear derailleur. FML.
How many speeds do you need?
I have a spare set of 3x9 shimano trigger shifters you can have for a fiver.

- But I've already bought the trigger shifter and the rear derailleur... and I'm in Australia. Apparently they are winging their way to me as we type.

Finally got a chance to put the cheap Sram X3 7 speed trigger shifter and rear derailleur on the #cannondalerack. Haven't test ridden it yet because its pissing down today, but it shifted fine on the stand. The derailleur was interesting to set up too. I've never seen one like that. I'm also intrigued whether I'll drop a chain because I have no front derailleur or keeper.

So I'm taking part in the Rapha Rising challenge on Strava (climb 7235m in 8 days). I've been riding my CX bike, but that was out of action this morning (late night mechanicals), so chucked my clipless pedals on this and rode it this morning.
All up I did 691m of climbing on it. It went fine. 46x28 wasn't the best gearing, but I survived. Got a few strange looks from people when I was descending on it as well.
I've also got these coming in the post so I don't have to keep swapping pedals between this and my CX bike.

What happened to this? Love it.

Didn't you ever had trouble with the chain falling off without a chainguide?
-
• #90
Shouldn't happen unless you go off roading.

and even if you do just use a Sram type 2 clutch derailleur

Thanks Ed, I'm building up a 7 speed road bike so it's good to know that it won't be a problem.

Once I installed the SRAM running gear, I had no problems dropping chains.

I might have completely missed it, but what is the actual frame? I have my eyes set on something like this or a Concorde Squadra.
