Maybe the bikes rides u..? I just think it be nice to hear someone say something about how the Mielec actually responds in action and not just tech an pimpin talk..

When I get back from Norway I've got a couple of days before I start work again, I'm looking forward to being that guy with all of the missed delivery cards pissing everyone off at the post office collecting all the bits I still need for my build! I just need the BB, and the new forks and it'll be rideable. I'm thinking I might treat myself to a new crankset next pay day, I'm using the cheapo ones that came on a fuji track classic and they feel a bit flexy and I can hear them cracking and creaking.

i quite like the way mine rides, comfy and fits me perfectly. responsive even with a trispoke.
edit: maybe not as responsive as my dolan track champ though

One of the guys from Copenhagen has ridden more than 2000 km on his Mielec, and he is very satisfied.

quality entry level alu tubes welded together in a geometry that works. I dont see how that could not be ok as long is it keeps together.

Did 30 odd miles on mine on sunday and it felt all good

So are the shit dropouts the only bad point about the frame?
really starting to want one!
-
• #2386
rode of a curb the other day and heard a huge metal cracking noise... first thought was cheap alu frame not welded together properly better get of and see where its gone.
after checking couldn't find a thing wrong with the frame, two days later clocked that what had gone was the rim of the rear wheel, it'd broken along the join... cheap ebay crap is much less reliable than polish -

If you haven't bought all the parts for your Mielec, this 31.6mm seatpost is great for £10:

The paintjob isn't perfect. But it's cheap. Besides that and the dropouts I don't see any other downsides regarding mine...

Apparently they have new improved slightly more aesthetically pleasing dropouts now so they cost a tad more.

^Pics of the new dropouts?
Rode mine everyday for the last 2 month, love it!

Mine is over a month late (estimated delivery was 4 weeks, it's been 2 months) and Robert doesn't answer my emails. This far everything's been good, but I'm getting a little annoyed now.
-
• #2392
I waited 2 months aswell, though I had no problems with getting replies.
-
• #2393
Ha, there is a guy in the german forum who had the same problem, check your spam!
-
• #2394
Ordered 5. Dec, received it 9. Jan.
-
• #2395
Right check your spam. After 5 e-mails or so every incomming mail from robert was declared as spam. Dunno what happened but after all my frame arrived 3 weeks later than expected ...
-
• #2396
Thanks to this thread I've got a frame on order from Robert, here's hoping it arrives on time
