  • Copied quite well by the looks of it...

Check out that shortened URL win right there.

    Thats so good!!

  • do they also ride alike?!

  • pretty nice that mielec with the ISP. Not digging the carbon weave on the forks or the hubs, but personal preferences. Looks like a nice ride! Hope my sscx mielec turns out as good.

    clearances?

  • ^^^looks bang on

  • Alpina track forks are easily drill able. We are a lot of guys in Copenhagen/Denmark who ride with drilled Alpina Track forks. I drilled mine myself, but had a mechanical engineer to guide me through. It wasn´t really a problem though. There´s even one guy who drilled with handheld akku drill (dont know the right english word for that).

  • portable drill!

  • Fuck, now i have a Micheal Jackson earworm...

Cause this is driller, driller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about to strike
You know it's driller, driller night

  • Reported.

  • Haha found a pic matching my earworm

  • The image of a rapey feline Michael Jackson is going to haunt my nightmares forever. Thanks.

  • i'm sorry, will you sue me for emotional pain?

  • portable drill!

    Hand drill maybe.

  • OK I have an issue. In my infinite wisdom I decided against IHS (for reasons of cost more than anything, and i wanted sparkles, which I didn't get!)
Anyway, I'm having huge problems finding a reasonable non IHS Carbon fork.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Ta

  • Did i ask a stupid question or are you all beavering away looking for suitable forks?

  • Am I wrong in thinking that a non IHS headtube does not necessarily exclude the use of an IHS fork?

  • This is what Mechamorgan told me, however after looking again, many fork manufacturers specify IHS....
    Cheers MV.. helping a lot.

I'd take fork manufacturers suggestions with a bit of a pinch of salt.

It might be a bit of trial and error finding a fork and headset that are compatible (in the sense that they don't rub and bind) so I'd try and find examples of forks/headsets that work together.

  • pretty much all lows are standard headset and alpinas

  • they by fraction fatter than headtubes, aren't they?

  • Thanks dudes.
Was thinking Alpinas, Tifosi (a bit dull) or The Columbus thron Air.

  • B0N0R's Alpina build is by far the best combo so far IMO - dunno why you wouldn't go for Aplina's based on look/cost.

  • I've got rid of the logos now too so they looks even better

  • Has anyone actually ridden the things..?

  • No one rides bikes anymore.
