Yep, first half was very even, Mighty Beasts taking the lead, Dragon Slayers coming back.
Then in the second half the Beasts didn't score for 20 minutes, Dragon Slayers took a 4 goal lead, which got pegged back to 2 in the last couple of minutes.
A very tense game.

Sweet. Well done SLAYERS.

Was a close game, with quite a lot of footing down on very slippery leaves in the corners. Well played by all the Slayers, some great goals by James who was nice to have back on court. Thanks to John, Jordan and Mrak for coming down to ref.

Did the slayers win last night?
I wouldn't want to be trying to keep up with all this from the outside.
is there a site this year with a proper nice league table, with wins draws losses for against GD & points? Last year's one was good with the Google doc embedded in the blog. -

Before I go much further, we must asknowledge the departure of a fallen friend, Jono X. Marshall. Let us not remember him for all of those callous hecklings and bike smashes on-court, but rather for his feats off-court: his wicked smile like an oncoming stabber and efforts to develop the game that is London Bike Polo. A moment of silence for this great man because this write-up features the first game of his team in his absence. You have not been forgotten dear friend.
And now on to bigger and better things...the return of James Brown. And what a return it was as he aggressively helped the Dragon Slayers defeat the Mighty Beasts - which should be called the singular Mighty Beast because Ali was involved in every one of his team's goals except 2. It was a slow, strong outing by the Mighty Beasts taking a two-goal lead into the second half. But the slaying combo of Max and James proved to be too much for them as the Beasts found themselves down by four after a 20-minute dry spell. Ouch. Dragon Slayers went on to win it by two, 13-11.

Well shoot man, I'm sorry. We'll have to knock off two of Ali's. I didn't think he was that good anyway.

Likewise. I'll come if its dry.
DragonsSLAYERS were Max, Andy, Fiona, with James Brown in for Jono; Mighty Beasts were Ali, Alexis, Louis, Vit, Rick, with no Cam.DragonsSLAYERS fell a few behind early on but had a better second half and pulled it back to win 13-11 I think. A fair few spills on carpets of leaves but a fun game, good spirit. Many pintsh in the pub afterwardsh to shelebrate Fi’s birthday (hic). Big up to John, Mrak and Jordan for reffing.
