You can do engraving James? Maybe I will have to buy scorchs forks... Any examples of previous work?
What?!
-
• #228
Why not engrave your current fork crown instead of buying a new one ?
-
• #229
I have no idea what's going on. Mind goes funny after drinks. Thrust not scorch, in sorry, could engrave current forks but they are just modern ones... Dunno.

chris in all honesty to get it really good I'd need help from my father (I can do it but mind would look like a child had done it..) I'll get back to you on price.

• #231
please let me know as well

Chris, sorry mate but the forks got shifted already! I thought you actually meant scorch so I sold them to another buyer. Now I feel like a cock.

Ok, it's raining, I'm never going to get the photos I really wanted and i'll never get round to borrowing a decent SLR so as much as it pains me to do so I'm calling this project done with some pics from and an old digi point and shoot... it's been fun.

Awful, just awful. Best flog it for cheap. I know someone who will buy it.
-
• #235
Really? You think so? Let me know who, best i be shot of it then!

Gumwalls and proper bar plugs would elevate this classic build to where it belongs.
-
• #237
Ha, cheers Dwayne, I have a few sets of nice Gumwalls but think I prefer all black atm. Just resisted spending stupid money on a NOS Colnago Panto'd 2A... phew...

Saw it porn and thought "fuck me, he's finished!"
Looks very nice indeed.I'll buy your 2a to help the fund... I really regret selling mine!
+1 for proper bar plugs, campyoldy has cheap chrome cinelli's atm. -

Looks great!
What chain is that?

It's a NOS Coventry... bought from Hilary Stone and came in some great packaging...

Wanna borrow my camera? You only ever asked once, fleetingly...
However one does such a thing. -
• #242
Could do a double shoot when your Banani is done?
-
• #243
Really nice, gumwalls here too.
-

Gumwalls would clash with the brown tape and over-complicate things. Black looks understated and simple. I like it as is.
And anyway, if you want gumwall clinchers you're looking at Veloflex, Deda or BLB... so either endless punctures, or heavy skidder things with "black mumba" written all over them.
Rubinos are good quality, trustworthy, readily available and well priced... and made in Italy (which I'm assuming is important here). -

...or Vittoria Open Corsa EVO SC expensive but the bike would do them justice. They'd match up to the seat decal. All IMHO, i like the bike regardless.
-
• #246
...you guys forget panaracer paselas. bang for the buck if you actually ride it on the streets. which this probably wont..
-
• #247
I hadn't forgotten the Panaracer's but i'd want Italian on a bike like this.
-
• #248
Mmmmmm, it's alright I suppose. How do you plan on stopping? Are you going to put a brake on it?
-
• #249
It's a track bike james, I'll use my victory lap to slow down... as soon as I find the Velodrome.
I've got a few pairs of gumwalls, Paselas are for tractors, I have some Veloflex (the unbranded BLB ones) and some others (I think although I may of binned themas they were annoyingly tight to fit), maybe I'll pop a pair on later...

Look forward to see how it looks with the Veloflex on.
Looks good James, where are you based and what we talking money wise?
