Regarding pedals, plastic cages are much easier on the shoes. Of course they don't look as nice, but they look much nicer than BMX flats.

I run them on the Bianchi when I'm not running the Looks.

I agree, they will be comfier, but I think anything other than silver metal cages will look utterly shite. And I've no time for a shite looking slave.

They don't look shite, they're just not as classy as metal cages (although yours are branded with a BLB logo so all class goes out the window).

To be fair - I meant the cream colour with black cages specifically. If I find that they're unbearably painful and wreck my shoes super quick, I'll sell the Kashimax straps, order some black MKS ones and get plastic cages.

I just wear knackered Adidas safety-toecap hitops to ride in. Just care less about your shoes...
The toe-cap happens to lock into the cages like a boss too.
