These are all the 26.0 compact bars that I've come across;
Deda 215 - Drop:142 Reach:86
Deda Newton - Drop: 135 Reach:80
Deda Piega - Drop:143 Reach:87
Bontrager SSR VR-C Drop:125 Reach: couldn't find
Soma Highway one - Drop:130 Reach: 75
Nitto M106 Neat - Drop: 128 Reach 78
Origin-8 Pro-lite compact handlebar Drop: 120 Reach: 70
Also ITM Super Italia pro 260 may be worth a look. -

Got me some Bontragers as well!
Looking at it now, the brake levers might need to be angled slightly downward. Can hopefully do it without removing the bartape.
And it's annoying they don't come in silver and they have all those markings, do you think they could be polished?

Can't see why not. I've done the grip section of some black risers before and they were shot peened finish.

That's some pretty sexy tape there. What is it?

Hi Hugo, the bars have a slightly weird shape but the dimension depicted is about 130mm

Does that help?
Very much.
Cheers.

It's Cinelli Caleido, bought mine from Wiggle: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cinelli-caleido-eva-handlebar-tape/
So many colours! :)

Right, just ordered a Thomson 26.0 stem for my Pompetamine so I guess I'll be polishing a set up soon.

Sounds interesting, let me know how it goes. I read somewhere that polishing a shot peened surface like that, could weaken the metal? Not sure about the information, but the thought of weakening my bars makes me pretty apprehensive!

Nitto noodles? they have a classic shape but still seem to be quite compact

Why would you polish road bars? Not like alot of them are going to on show...
That tape is nice, mighty nice, but a bit.... pricey.

^ That's why it's only really worth polishing the middle section.
If you've got a classic look going on it does make sense.

Oh yeah, I'll only be doing the middle section and my Ritchey classic bars are polished in the middle and shot peened under the tape so I reckon it'll be okay.

Oh yeah, I'll post pics when they're done.

Are there any good compact handlebar options with 25.4 clamp diameter?
I'd d like to find a compatible combination of compact bars (like the bontrager ones), and a 1" adjustable quill stem with a removable faceplate.
Problem is all the stems are 25.4, and the bars are 26.0. -
• #43
Haha, sorry but that has to be one of the ugliest stems every made :)

Does the job though, also looks way better in black

Bad picture of one on mine, couldn't be arsed to take the grips off my risers and wanted to ride drops for a bit , up so high cause the drop on those bars is bloody huge

This the older 3ttt Morphe (not Morpheus), they come up occasionally on ebay:
They tops are also slightly swept back, though they're hardly a randonneur bar they are comfy.

19 hours and still waiting for the mods to accept my post with a pic ;_; instead i'll just point out the old 3ttt Morphe bars, different to the Morpheus but quite compact and can still be found on ebay.

Fair enough, it actually looks a lot better once on the bike.

I want some spotter bars for my Bob Jackson and would like keep my Cinelli stem. Do any of you know of bars with flat transition and shallow drop that will fit 26.4 stems? Or du I shim up?
Really nice work.
