Froome looked comfortable just spinning up to me.
Yes, well, perhaps you're not strong enough to drop him, after all. :)

froome just chugged up the mountain
contadors attacks looked a bit toothless after the initial charge
i think i only saw froome get out of the saddle once or twice and put in a kick
he did say stage three wasn't the time or the place to be pushing for time gaps and the Vuelta win
i think he's saving himself -

I wondered why I wasn't moving, then I realised I was watching on a turbo.

Doping aside i wish Contador had have been in this years tour, he made for great viewing last night.
^^ Im not sure that Froome can get out of the saddle for more than a few seconds, with those skinny arms....
Anyway good racing from all of them i enjoyed it and it looks like theres more of this to come.

imagine if contador had beaten wiggo
the country would not be in the feel good place it is in right now
peoples happiness would be down 34%
we may never have won any gold medals at the olympicsimagine that !

peoples happiness would be down 34%No it wouldn't, the majority of the population would just still have no idea what the tour de france is

No doubt wiggo would have still won and maintained uk happiness levels. Although brads happyness levels may have been pushed a little harder during the tour.
Anyway I hope there's some more tuff racing in Spain.

Contadors attacks were exciting to watch but they just took him over limit and couldn't sustain enough power to maintain the gap.
Froome was right though. Not a big stage. Not a long tough climb. 3rd day into the toughest grand tour is not a day to put big time in to rivals..

Everyone knows of the TDF. Now they've also heard of a fella in Yellow called Wiggins.
They've no idea who olympic bronze medalist Christopher Froomey Froomedog is though.

don't you feel empathy with them as they push till their legs are at the very limits .. as their legs scream NO MORE
haven't you been there .. why would you wish that on anybody ?
i hope for some nice friendly racing with no one being in pain and a british winner ! -

Valverde is over a minute down after a pile up involving most of the movistar team and quite a few from leaky gas.
Sky have put the hammer down on the front as well.
