Only just watched it, one of my favourite wins. Awesome breakaway, then brilliantly attacking and made it count. Loved him breaking up in the interview

Where did this Joaquim Rodriguez bloke come from?

This year this race is everything the Tour was not! Really enjoying this one.

Great finish. Desperately hope J-Rod holds form for the win,

• #259
and another feast to watch today, the queen stage... will AC try again, and will JR casually catch up with him (time and time) again? catch some of the action if you can.
-
• #260
If I were to gamble, I would pick AC to win the Vuelta today.

• #261
just sayin'

T-V think so? I don't think he has enough competition experience/rythm this time around, my money would be on JR. But I hope you're right!

I sincerely hope he doesn't though.

• #264
I hope Rodriguez wins, but I think Contador is riding into stronger form and could snap the elastic today.
-
• #265
in any case, I don't think it wil be boring :-P
-
• #266
they've had to pave the top section of todays climb because until just recently it was a goat track or something like that
have been enthralled by the last two days in the mountains purito is looking great
every time contador pushes off expecting to gap everyone he just looks around and see red right there on his wheel
contador is determined i'll give him that but he seems to be equally matched bu rodriguezsomeones legs will have to give out at some stage .... not willing to say who though
froome dog just not doing it ... maybe brad back for team leader in next years tour ... i hope brad is practising his climbing for next years tour, he's gonna need it
-
• #267
gonna head down to Lookmum for this, coverage starts at 2pm, missed yesterdays stage but sounds full of combative riding.. Hoping the same for today
-
• #268
This stage screams big solo effort to win the veulta in style. Think this might be the only way Froome can get back on the podium. I'm just dreaming of seeing some going solo and win style. The top 3 will be markin geach other too much I think but Froome could just make it maybe?
Come on, do an early attack, risk everything for sake of style, where's Voekler when you need him...

• #269
Froome will be going backwards for the rest of the Vuelta. He held his form for a surprisingly long time but he is clearly losing it now.

They should have left it unsealed.

what happened to the good old days where a rider would attack up a slope and would get away to ride solo to the finish
seems like every move these days is just parried and reposted and they al;l cross the finishing line within 20 seconds of each otherwhat happened to all the good drugs that used to whizz ( not a pun ) select riders to the top of the climb without being out of breath 2min+ ahead of their nearest rival
bah ... i miss the drug cheats
-
• #273
i know you are joking but the fact that noone can massively gap anyone else is fantastic. Normally it would all be over by now. But we still dont know who is going to win. Even if they are all Spaniards..
-
• #274
it kind of shows how well the drugs worked back in the day
some one gets a shot in the arm at the start of the day and hey presto they ride like men possesed, gapping all comers
now without the chemical advantages it shows how close the top riders are, more like formula one gaps and fractions of a second rather than minutes
-
• #275
Except in the tour of course, where Wiggo crushed all comers.
Stephen cummings on fire right now !
