  • 45 rake is road fork.

  • So is 40 actually.

    35 would look stellar.

  • Yep, will be keeping an eye out..! (;

  • I like the wound ups. The skrtluv seal of approval is disconcerting though.

  • I think skrtlv prefers the first build with quill and corima...

    Praise jeebus.

  • Looks pretty classy as a full build I reckon, first time I've not hated the lattice chainring.

  • quill stem/riser/woundups would pretty much do it regardless of front wheel so long as its black

  • Looks pretty cold. I'd love a wound up disc fork someday.

  • Woundupz4lyf

  • Best it's looked yet. Only improvement would be Time ATAC's. Don't change a thing now.

  • Don't change a thing now.

    I lol'd.

  • Seen a new physio about my knee, he knows his shit, works with pro teams and has worked on le tour and numerous other events. Reckons I should be back to normal in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan. Bearing in mind this injury has fucked my riding up for about 6 months, that was joyous news indeed!

This should mean I'm back on clipless soon.

  • Sounds good man, does that also mean a slave ride is due?

  • when it stops raining ...

  • Didnt stop us before

  • Got a new compact camera so wanted to test it out, drive side square photo ain't right as there was a car parked in the way so couldn't get far enough back to get dat depth of focus.... Not bad otherwise.

  • Looks like a bit of barrel distortion in the last shot, but otherwise great

  • Wound ups look good with that cockpit

  • Aye, on this one too...

just a flaw of a little camera?

  • No, lots of lense will do it. Its a quick fix in lightroom etc

  • Will look into it cheers spts...

The seatpost on there started out as this, truly awful graphics under lacquer.

  • So these lattice chainrings. Are they actually any good? My DA one will need replacing soon and I've started thinking about these lattice jobbies.

PS I also want Woundups now.

  • I was running a Zen before this, in the past and currently on other bikes have run other Zens, Miche, Campag, Sram, DA, 75...and honestly, in my opinion, the Lattice is quieter and smoother. This, so far on a bike that is being ridden on wet, grit laden roads... even after cleaning the chain it only lasted a week before becoming encrusted in shit again, still it seems to run smoother than I'm used to.

They are also extremely light! 83 grams for my black 49t. There has been some un-founded speculation on the forum about strength and durability. In the flesh, the chainrings feel solid, there is more material to them than I expected, they in no way look inadequate, and Tyler from Factory 5 assured me that they'd seen thorough impact testing, that they're certified and yada yada.

If you like the design, I'd definitely go for one. It's surpassed my expectations.

Found one benefit of the road woundups, room to fit a mudguard... Finally my commuter is sensible!

Can't get image to imbed on my phone...

  • Looks like a birds nest stadium wrapped around a crank though...not convinced! What happened to the red don? Have I missed something??

  • I have to admit they've grown on me in terms of looks. Quite a lot actually. How much did it cost you including shipping and taxes yada yada? If price is comparable to a brand new DA ring then I'd give it a go. They look like a bitch to clean though. And my bike is pure filth at the best of times...
