Love that , needs the original decals though

The purple you are looking for is called Plumb Crazy, it's a oldschool muscle-car colour. Looks amazing as it's got a surprising amount of green and black in the mix.
You have to go quite dark with it if you're painting a bike as a frame has so many high which a lighter colour would not give definition.

I really like this purple:

Ford Thistle Purple looks pretty good on a skinny steel frame

Pics?
quite aptly, my GW's also purple, a metallic one to boot..
some change though since two years; full black blackspire 53t chainring and a silver itm tigged stem to match the welds on the frame. and suntour superbe pedals.
it got a bit more ratty which i like, it being the citybike. -

Did a 50ish mile ride on this last weekend, stupid me just wore some chino shorts, SLR + no bibs = sore arse!
Might change the saddle out for something a little different...

Concor or laser are great for the more well endowed arse

OG Concor or new plush one? Think the old ones, the nose is a bit too pronounced for me.
I've got a beaterish white Concor at home somewhere I could try out (looking at photos could well be a Laser actually)... I've got a quite nice retro Specialized "made in Italy" black perf leather saddle I might try...

Can only vouch for the new concor. I've recently bought a NOS laser which I've ridden a few k's and the nose is a little flatter than a new concor.

To be honest, if you get a sore arse after 50 miles without a bibs short, a saddle change is probably worthwhile.
Fizik Aliante look very similar to a Concor in term of shape, an all black/white one of course.

We don't all have the warty, saddle sore resistant ass of a serious audax rider ed.
-
• #391
Only because I found a saddle that I can be comfortable on without resorting to needing bibshort to make it "less uncomfortable".
I rode the Fizik on a road over 50 miles without padding and was very comfortable,. wasn't so over 100 miles.
Methinks you just gotta keep looking and trying until you found the shape that'll agree with your henia.

Current setup which rides great. Shed about a pound swapping out a few parts, saddle, stem, pedals...
Never managed to get my hands on the S1 forks from TF, and then these came up in classifieds...
Bit of a different look than nice steel forks, but I'm thinking it's going to look boss.
Not sure of the rake or a2c of the current forks but they're pretty tight, so not sure if the alpinas with tighten up clearances or if they'll be similar.
Means that I can run a matching Thomson and risers, and also that I can run my integralters without a quill adapter. thinking as well that the switch from threaded to threadless will shave some more grams, not that I'm really bothered about weight but I think at it's heaviest this was like 8.5-9kg, which for a decent steel track bike is fat as shit.
Have to admit, this decision was heavily influenced by this...
Also going to try out a flite and an arione for non-bib'd comfort

Alpinas will probably make it a bit slacker tbh. The 1" ones are not as tight as the modern one and those steel forks are probably tighter to even them

Ah right well, we'll see. a couple of 23c tyres don't fit in and the one I've got in brushes on the current forks when you stand up and wrench on the bars, wouldn't really mind a bit more room like, run a 25c.

Just going to use an m part converter I thinks.

Dibs on the alpinas when you get bored ;)
