• I hope the BBC send in that cunt David Bond to do a post race interview with the current god of mod.
That cunt Bond on the news just now - "Any concerns about Wiggins being tired from the Tour de France."

Do fuck off, Double Oh Cunt.

• Just got back from the post TT pub crawl - what a day...

I've been lucky enough to go to some very special sporting events in my time but the atmosphere as the Froome-Dog and Wiggo came past today was, frankly, astonishing. After Fab had crawled by we scampered into a local boozer and squeezed in between a mixture of the lycra-clad and local housewives. The highlight was when someone who looked like this...

screamed "COME ON WIGGO, FUCKING SMASH IT!" at the screen as he took the final corner...

West London motorists were very respectful on the way back too... happy days! :)

and too fucking right too. i really feel that this was our gold more than theirs. Wiggins is one of us. he knows cycling, he's given a lot to it, and he's a sound bloke.

tomorrow i'll be grinning at every cyclist i see on the commute. the rest of the country can be pleased and i'm glad that they will all celebrate Brad, but they won't have felt the joy we did and frankly they don't deserve to. we didn't go to/follow the race because it was a good chance for a GB medal. we are passionate about cycling. the TdF meant more to us, but to get the opportunity to go and shout on Brad on home soil was very special.

• Just sold all my bikes and bought a lambretta.

After you chatting about Porsches and Aston Martins yesterday, and now this, I'm beginning to think that the bang on your head has sent you wrong...

• Sir Bradley Wiggins??

Was Wiggo hinting at a title on the BBC interview? Interesting how he said it was amazing to be compared to "Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Chris Hoy"

Fucking deserves it.....

• The atmosphere out on the course today was electric. Was good to see so many people on UK roads supporting cyclists. :-)

• For posterity, those links are...

Cheers. Was not sure if LFGSS supported long URL. Some forums cut them short.

I'd love for him to be honest about cycling in the UK, ie. "It's shit, with every cunt behind the wheel of a car seemingly out to kill you, and cabbies are the worst of the cunts."

Maybe a few people would pay attention to him.

Displayed short, but long URLs are fine.

Preferred over shorteners as those:
1) Obscure the end destination
2) Rely on a third party which may not always exist
3) Could actually change the destination (short URLs are not necessarily permanent URLs)

#1 bugs me because of Rick Rolling, and #3 bugs me because over long periods of time it breaks things. #2 has happened to a couple of providers though bit.ly is probably fine.

• Wow!

Biggins was the story on the 10pm news but ^ that seems to really bring it home.

Actual wow. Britain gives a shit about cyclesport today!

You say that. But the old man who stopped right by the finish at last nights Bexley CC 10 gave the timekeeper a right earful about how all these cyclists are getting in the way. Clearly not an Olympic fan.

got another link?

• Greetings folks,
Went down to watch and had a great view by river just south of Kingston.
What a day out - great atmosphere. Then did a couple of laps of Richmond Park in the lovely sunshine on way home. 42 miles on clock and memories which will last forever.
Well done Wiggo....
Sets us up nicely for the track.
Peace and Love,
Tim

got another link?

To the image - or the Times coverage?

• Went down to Hampton to see this, an met up with Amey (who had pulled a sickie) on the way.
We found a great spot near Hampton Wick station, near someone with a radio, so we had constant updates.

The cheering for everyone else turned into roaring for Froomey and Wiggo. What an atmosphere. So good!

Lots of cheering for Spartacus, who by that time was a spent force.
Few pints in a riverside pub and then a ride through Richmond Park, then off to Easts to round off the day.

And to think I could have been at work...

• Swedish TT helmet. The fact it has POC on it is too ironic.

there is a typo on the website cyling in lieu of cycling

• Does anyone know what kind of money Wiggins has made from his Sky deal, winning the Tour and sponsorship and stuff?

• Does it matter?

• Does it matter?

This!

• slightly foolish remarks by wiggo regarding compulsory helmet laws. ho hum
Did BW actually make a fresh quote or did they just reuse this one from last month...?

http://www.thefootdown.co.uk/2012/07/12/bradley-wiggins-fred-perry-interview/
Cycling is fantastic, it’s healthy and everything but people have to help themselves a little bit as well and they have to realise sometimes that they are on the road on a bike and there is a certain amount of responsibility they have to take like wearing a helmet, not wearing an iPod and all those things. I think certain laws may have to be passed as well, maybe having a rear light, wearing a helmet, once cyclists start helping themselves like that then they’ll have more protection and rights against drivers. If someone gets killed in a bus lane on a BoJo (Boris Bike) with no helmet and their iPod on then they haven’t really got a leg to stand on.
That was the quote they used. Probably got the audio from that interview and have now linked them to this bus crash as if he was responding to it.
Shitty disingenuous reporting from the BBC.

Cunts.
