Very nice . Yes my silver Master is a respray , appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love it
Also have this original paint Master Olympic
Campagnolo Athena 11 , but with chorus shifters as I prefer the shifting -

On theme, here's a Master that I sold last year. Currently building a Master Olympic to replace it.

Where did you get it done? I'm a big fan of it, fuck the haterz...
I'm stuck deciding which way to go with mine to be honest. -
• #262
Sell it on...

I got it like it from @retrodicorsa .He is a great guy ,i really love it
I am pretty sure he got it done at colour-tech -
• #264
@Bsample I could do, i'm not sure yet though.
@MRI I'm a big fan of the painted chrome on it, really nice touch. Mine would require re-chroming i would imagine, so a good way round that. I had wondered about a grey colour with some custom black decals from Cyclomondo. The tt decal on mine seems to be a mix between the piu and olympic style.

Any thoughths on fitting this:
On this?
It´s not a very fancy frame, just Columbus Tretubi and Zeus/Orbea fork so I don´t think it´s worth investing much more than the 200GBP that the Sora groupsets costs. The other option would be Sram Apex 10s, but it´s 100 quid more.

Get Tiagra instead, the latest incaration of Sora is the best, but Tiagra is definitely more enjoyable to use, and a better spread of gears too.
Don't forget Campagnolo Veloce, very worthy groupset for the money too.

I have this to build up, all these neo retro builds have inspired me to attempt something similar.
For now I think I'll use parts I already have while I ponder over which groupset to start gathering together... any suggestions?

any suggestions?
Go for the one whose hood shape agree with you the best.

I wouldn't know, all my extended gears riding has been with downtube shifters.
I used the old Shimano 600 8 speed stis for a while and didn't mind them.
For the moment I intend to use some campag 9 speed stuff I have acquired recently so can see how I get on with the hoods on those.

Go to a dealer and test ride a bike with each brand.

Awesome frame! Post it in the Columbus MAX thread once built up.

That's a beauty , Columbus max ? Looks lovely
Campagnolo 9 speed is great too
Hope to see the full build -

That frame is lovely.

Go for it , it will look great , I'm pretty sure my silver master is a piu
& it is fantastic to ride -

That is one nice frame, can imagine it being something you'll fall in love with once a modern group is fitted. I'm a Shimano fangirl these days so would suggest accordingly but do you have any inclinations?
@edscoble got a good point, I'd add go for a group you warm to the most, not necessarily the best as it'll certainly be a bike to savour riding.
Is your Colnago a respray? I've just picked up a master piu decor that needs a paint job. I'm not sure if i will keep it in all honesty, kind of an impulse buy.
