  • I have used blackvpn from Germany for 2 years ...works great.

  • Kiriyenka missed the time cut

  • I wouldn't be ordering what Sky are having at the hotel tonight.

  • Amazing day. Quintana is a hero.

  • Kiriyenka missed the time cut

Any idea if gee made it?

  • Cycling news only names Kiryienka as OTL.

  • amazing day. Quintana and his whole team wrecked themselves for a net gain of sweet fuck all.

    ftfy

  • Could Sky have had some dodgy food or something like that? It's really strange how the whole team fell out of contention, never mind the effort yesterday. Perhaps Froome was the only one who wasn't affected.

  • ftfy

Exactly. If he'd wanted to attack Froome, he should have put in a proper sustained attack, not half-hearted attempts. Then again, he was probably just testing him.

  • Brailsford told them to act human?

    Another good ride by Kwiatowski.

  • awesome

Froome is doping and the others are not?

  • Someone swapped the blood-bags for ketchup?

  • ftfy

I'm not disagreeing with you - they didn't achieve anything and they've no doubt shot themselves in the foot. Still think Quintana is a cool guy and I hope to see more of him.

DO people not just reckon Sky maybe fucked themselves more than they're letting on?

  • Sky perhaps... not Froome from the look of it.

  • Just seen footage of Peter Kennaughs crash. Holy Shit!

  • You can't make too many judgements after the first 2 proper GC days. Sky thought yesterday was the best day for them to get maximum time for Froome, Porte was a bonus as he only attacked after Froome as no one else had anything left. Today we saw exactly what we should have if anyone wanted to challenge SKY. Movistar rode a blinder and obviously Sky wouldn't have wanted Froome to get isolated like he did but there's a reason why he's the leader of the team and he showed that today. If sky did gamble on yesterday rather than today (with the rest day coming up) then they should be pretty happy as they've got a good lead to defend but we'll soon find out whether or not today was a sign of the effort the day before or fragility in the team.

All in all this year's tour is shaping up to be a pretty exciting contest. Much better than the procession last year ( however good it was for British fans)

  • Last year was boring. Especially having to watch the reins being put on Froome.

  • Come on Tim!

    +1
the butterflies are back, the summer is summer again and the beers taste better.
was a bit depressed last night as i was afraid Sky would dominate from now on..
also because of the doping gossip turning up, Sky definitely was hurt from yesterday..

always so excited for this event, and would hate to see it getting decided this early,
from a neutral point of view it's turning out to be quite a year..too early to say 'epic' but the potential is there

  • Double Alpe D'huez should be sick. Seems like a long tour as well. I reckon it's going to grind a lot of people out.

  • I found Peter Kennaughs crash a bit worrying, because nobody seemed to do anything about it. The peloton merrily carried on, of course (although to be fair I think someone from BMC, maybe Cadel, had a quick looksie) but where was everyone else? Maybe it was just the camera angles and a medic/marshall was just out of shot? But what if he'd been seriously hurt? It's not like crashing out down a ravine hasn't ended badly in the past. If he had been knocked out I wonder how long it would take everyone to realise a bike lying by the side of the road doesn't mean someone's gone for a wee in the bushes...

I thought Martin played Fuglsang like a fiddle - sitting on his wheel for what felt like an eternity at the end then breaking away at exactly the right moment. It's interesting that they are almost the same age and both turned pro in 2008. If I hadn't known that I would have thought Martin was the more experienced rider...

  • Tennis in the Tour de France thread by the way? Seriously? I've got half a mind to nerge those involved. Honestly.
