Hey J, there was talk at the time about doing a whip round if you needed it. You know, in case your bike was smashed and unusable and the like.
I'm not sure it was ever answered, or if it was I missed it... but now you're on the path to full recovery how's the equipment? Did you need a hand as many people were willing to help out if you did.

Pmd you V.B. All in hand thankyou.

but now you're on the path to full recovery how's the equipment?
I'd leave sensitive subjects like that to Pelé, if I were you.

As it goes, the funds will be used to replace the on one carbon 29er fork that got totalled in the crash, thanks.there will also be food/drinks at the end of the ride somewhere around Bankes Arms Studland most likely. -

Fuck me. The daft twat only managed to throw a wobbly last night and blackout, hit his head on concrete and now has 4 staples in his nut, and is in Elgin hospital
Ermegherd......I think he needs walking training

^ Who, Jason?
-
• #665
Was he wearing a helmet?
-
• #666
'Throwing a wobbly' as in 'having a seizure' or 'a fit of anger'?
How did he end up falling?

Dunno. He fainted. He said he felt sick then dropped like a sack of spuds. My GF was with him.
He's ok just now, they're keeping him in for another night though
-
• #668
He's in the best place then. You can't be overly cautious with head injuries, especially given what he's been through. Wishing Jason all the best again.
-
• #669
Ouch, that sounds bad. Hope it gets diagnosed and resolved. :(
Best wishes, Jason.
-
• #670
Oh bloody fuck! Heal up again Jason.
-
• #671
Oh Mate, heal up and look after yourself...
-
• #672
Damn, leftover side effects? That doesn't sound good at all.
-
• #673
Complicated things head injuries, I believe aftershocks are quite common, tho that one sounds a bit fierce.
I know you want to rush back but you got to do what the docs tell you and take it easy. Take the opportunity to catch up on all the low impact stuff, lie on the grass, read books, listen to music, just make sure you are wearing the appropriate safety equipment while doing so.
