If not, scour the back pages of Cycling Weekly. Plenty of lawyers advertise there. No win no fee.

Apparently Oliver Jeffcot's firm - Bolt Burdon Kemp
Only take on a case if the claim is more than £25k...!My £300 for a dental bill and new pair of trainers is looking a faint hope
I bet Oliver has some nice suits.

Given the severity of some injuries/ incidents in this thread, I thought twice about posting this...but might provide some levity if nothing else...
Got a gust of wind/ leaf in the eye on my way home last night, blinked it out, but the discomfort mounted until I got home. After a couple of excrutiating hours I took myself to A&E to discover a huge scratch on my eye-ball, occluding the pupil.
Ironically, having been hit by cars twice in the last 10 years and crashed on slicks of diesel; this is by far the most painful cycling injury I've sustained.
My wife's helpful suggestion was that I start to "wear goggles on my bike".

Did they tell you that? He is dealing with mine and for a couple of friends in the office, none of our case would add up to that, not even in total.

I am sure it has been mentioned here a number of times, but Oliver is also on this forum...

Slater & Gordon via CTC were more than happy to take my paltry case on - and they've delivered.

My friend recommended Leigh Day for my collarbone claim. The solicitor I spoke to seemed to say they'll take on smaller cases using the money they make on the huge claims elsewhere in their business. They're British Cycling and British Triathlon's lawyers.
Worth a try.

The reassuringly expensive dental fix of my tooth that was supposed to last a life time fell out last night while I was Kummerspecking on some comfort food.
Well that lasted 3 days then..
Still haven't made contact with Oliver yet
Although I now remember he contacted me last time I had an accident, think I ignored him as a suspected ambulance chaser.Anyone got a number?
My dental costs just doubled. -

2013-11-7 // Rider Down // Farringdon Rd. x Theobald's Road
Cyclist rear ended by someone who looks a lot like David Starkey and drives a Jaguar.
The man who looked a lot like David Starkey was incredibly condescending and rude to the cyclist and those who had come to help him.
It's almost as you might imagine David Starkey might behave, if it were him.
A witness at the scene asked the man who looks like David Starkey to apologise to the cyclist for what he'd done. The driver of the Jaguar who might have been David Starkey, did not.
Instead he waited until the witness had left before bullying the cyclist some more.
The same witness claims that the driver of the Jaguar was using his horn and tailgating well before he decided to hit the cyclist to teach him a lesson.
I mean accidentally hit the cyclist completely by accident.
Well, one or other of the two.
Let history be the judge.
Here is a photo of the cyclist and the man who might or might not be David Starkey exchanging details at the scene.
Is that a license plate in the photo?
Hmmmm...

This confuses me. if it is David Starkey, just say, if it's not why mention him so much?
The hair is very different.
Maybe I'm just missing some hilarity somewhere.

Whoever he is, he bears a striking resemblance to the nightmare teacher from Pink Floyd's The Wall.

See, it's him. Not only putting children through a mincer, but also giving cyclists a hard time. Bastard.

Actually had his number.. gave him a bell.
Incredibly Nice fellow, but didn't think he could help me.
Pointed me in the direction of a big faceless corporate enterprise - probably better for my needs. -

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I went down last night (07/11/2013) on the "south" side of Putney bridge, heading north to Hammersmith. Can't remember what happened before or after but would love if someone saw it and filled me in. Went to A&E and got checked out but don't remember how I ended off.
Single speed: black frame, red wheels and rims, red saddle, red helmet.

Bike lights? Not dressed in Black Ninja outfit?

Haha not quite. The name's a reference to my other bike. Got good bike lights. No high vis or anything, but it's relatively well lit at that part of the bridge.

Just out of hospital following an RTA (me being hit by a 4x4 whilst riding my newly-repainted Pompino) on Tuesday morning here in Los Angeles.
I was knocked unconscious upon impact, taken to hospital with a broken clavicle, broken jaw, minor skull fracture (leading to bleeding on the brain) and sprained ankle. I was wearing a helmet.
Still awaiting LAPD Police Report but have already had a letter through from the insurer of the car that hit me, offering to respond to my claim (which I haven't even made). This says to me that the 23-year-old chap driving what is likely to be his parent's car has probably already admitted liability.
Bike is in need of a few repairs, but it's in far better shape than me. Liquid diet for the foreseeable, and a shitload of serious meds for the next fortnight.
Seeking advice from a cycling-specific lawyer in the week. -

Ouch - sounds very painful. I hope your recovery is quick and as pain free as possible. Are you aware of any witnesses? For example someone would have called for an ambulance, doctor etc. It's probably worth getting them lined up to support your claim.
You have also have damages for pain and suffering. Speak to Oliver.
