Maybe contact the police before having any work done to your bike... just to play it safe.

It would be good for the LCC to take note of those places. Perhaps the road design can be improved (doubt it)?
What, take note of the Elephant & Castle northern roundabout?
I don't think anyone's really concerned about that one. It's only just about the most-hated place (non-place, really) in London, and #1 on every cycle campaigner's hit list. :)

What a crap affair, Indra. I hope it gets resolved. Get advice whether it's worth getting a solicitor involved. Past experience suggests that things like this need constant chasing.

That's shitty Indra. Hope the knees aren't too bad. We need to burn that cunt!

wac wac wac
hope he gets stiffed although sadly I doubt it... is this some kind of insurance jobby where he doesn't want to pay for his own wheel arches? fucking insane anyway and shouldn't be on the road

Just a reminder to people that this is a public forum and the drivers registration is posted above.

Be careful not to say anything that could derail a future court case. Also, if this does go to court, let me know where/when - I'm a journalist.

Indra, hope you're okay and your knees are feeling a bit better. What a shit thing to happen. Make sure you get CCTV from the museums - from your picture it looks like you were outside the V&A? Ask to speak to the Control Room and do it asap as they won't keep the footage indefinitely.

Hope you're okay Indra, Some car drivers are unbelievable.

I like this mans total ignorance of how the world works.
"Your mate tapped my car so I'll run you off the road and steal your bike."
What did he think would happen when he called the police? I hope he is convicted. I'm sure he'll see it as terrible injustice though.

Quite possibly he was acting in rage, but nevertheless he must have thought about it at the time and felt that his actions were somehow justified. Why else would he call the police...

What a complete and utter bellend.
He absolutely deserves to be charged for this. Deliberately bashing into someone with a big metal weapon and running someone off the road because you're annoyed with what you think they've done is total cuntishness.Hope you heal up well Indra.

It's unlawful detention, you can't just seize someone because they were with someone who may have done something. Habeus corpus. Did she die in vain? IANAL.
It's truly bizarre, it's like getting hit by a car and running over to punch someone at the bus stop.

Thanks Hats, in a fair bit more pain today, need to get to the doctor and to the V&A to ask for footage, any idea how long they actually keep it for as I'm really busy this week.
Hope you're okay Indra, Some car drivers are unbelievable.
Cheers Shoosh, it's a bit mad really.

I have no idea what he was thinking, I doubt he thought much.

I'm not sure if he can claim he was acting in rage when he hit me with the car because this was at least 20 minutes after his car was tapped.
What a complete and utter bellend.

Thanks Chung, I hope he does get charged, I guess it's hard not to charge him if there is proper evidence.

You need to make sure that this proper evidence exists, so you've got to get onto this as quickly as you can. Ask your mum if she can make the checks for you if you really honestly haven't got time to do it yourself?

I'll see if she can, if not realistically the earliest will be thursday.

Bothwell speaks the truth man. I dilly dallied with my current predicament and it's starting to turn into a paper trail now. Get on that shit.

• #772
Fuck it, will just take some time off tomorrow to get it done.

• #773
Presumably the car(s?) he rammed you into were damaged also?
Did the police check anything on these?

Boom, good work.

Indra, if Control at the v&a are anything like the ones at my museum then they won't keep the footage for long, they have hundreds of cameras to deal with. I'd suggest getting your mum to call as they often respond best to a stern talking to. I'm away at the moment or else I'd go on your behalf. Good luck with it.
Ah it's fine, he's just a bit silly because by calling the police he's brought bigger charges on himself than a rider would face even if he had kicked a car...
Have one man, earlier that day I actually agreed to film D riding around.
Cheers man, he drives a dark grey ford focus.
Cheers for the advice, I will make sure to chase them up on it, also know of a company through work who will help get any damage sorted out.
