And the prosecution for leaving the scene of an accident?
To be honest he was browbeaten into it by the 'brother' so both myself and the police agree that he'll be sent on a 2 day driver education course.
(And free chicken...)

Stacked it on a bit of concrete covered in algae whilst going around some schoolkids on a shared use path.
None of them laughed and one even asked if I was ok! Kids these days :)Landed hard but just winded, grazes and sore right butt cheek :(

I fell off. Tarmac is hard.
Hit a speed-bump; the tyre did this:
I flew over the bars and landed on my hip. Doesn't look it, but it's massively swollen.
I also grazed my elbow. In three places.
Ow.

Grooming...
Glad to hear you're ok, George and that riding fixed hasn't killed you yet.
I'm fine, just flesh wounds. Will need a new lid but I've been wanting one anyway and this way my Dad said he'll pay.
Take it easy bro, when I get my bike built we do some fixed CX yeah?
YES. I'll show you a good spot. But I may need new wheels.
Or just non-folding tyres, that's what fucked me over.

There is a lot of flowers and a ghost bike on the junction on the corner of downham rd and southgate road N1. I can't see a thread about it here, does anyone know what has happened?
-
• #436
I'm not aware of a fatal collision there. It is of course possible that one may have happened recently that we didn't hear about, or that people are remembering someone who died a long time ago.

i went past there today and there were loads of flowers, a ghost bike and writing on the white cafe on the corner. there was also a sign saying fatal collision on the 9th may

Oh no, what awful news. Nothing in the Hackney/Islington Gazette, either. I guess it might be in the paper tomorrow.
-
• #441
Oh, I did see that and didn't make the connection. :(

I came here to ask same question about Downham. Ghost bike, a frame locked to a lampost and flowers, so so so many flowers. Really taken aback.

Police Collision team on holbon circus at junction with St Andrew St . New Fetter lane at 9.40 this morning. Looked like a white hackney cab was involved but not sure of anything else.

By posting it here you made it appear that someone on the forum was involved. Did you not read the thread title?

Sorry DJ. I didn't know where to post and thought that the notification / discussion of incidents part was relevant.

The opening post on this thread
This thread is for you to post about minor incidents involving either forum members or yourselves.
It is categorically not for people who have fallen off their bike owing to stupidity or alcohol usage. If you were involved in a serious incident which required the emergency services please refer to the Rider Down User's Guide as to whether you should start a separate thread. If in doubt use this thread.
Think carefully before starting discussion about your own incident and who was to blame as it may open you to unwanted criticism.
It should go without saying but keep it on topic.
Any off topic comments will be deleted, that includes the little anecdotes people think may be amusing.
For the record, they make you heartless, not humorous. -
