So you finally found a setup you like?
-
• #328
Yeah thankfully. Lots of measurements w plumb lines and water measures and have her set up exactly like my roadie (except if using bulls/risers). Tried a few saddles and the SLR Carbonio seems to fit the bill (like on the V1). Took her out for a few 60 milers and it just seemed to sit better as the days went past and it's pretty sweet.
Actually all my bikes are now exactly the same setup except the V1 which sits 2.5cm further behind the BB due to the insanely slack ST! -

Love it man, great work. I even think the white saddle works well.

great looking bike man. -

Thanks gents. Really had a toss up between this and the Wound Ups but glad I went for these. The rake on the WU's wouldn't have really tightened things up much and I love the chunky looks of these. They also feel better on the old wrists than steel..

There are few aromas better than that of the oil found on fresh Phil products. It's the smell of engineering.

^ def agreed. Love the smell of their green grease!

In its most current guise.
Upgrades were Zen, PW BB, Deda Zero 100 bars.
Awaiting a machined CK HS race to help eliminate the gap.
Front Mack hub appears lost in the post as Mr Mack never received it and PO are claiming it got there.. No matter, happy w the front wheel as is!Mm can't embed w iPad. Linky instead

I want an all Royce drive train.. Including the cranks. All British build (almost..!). Anyone have any hubs going??
-
• #349
Do it, Royce cranks and hubs would be porn! I would if I could afford.

Changed to a cheap inline seatpost. Big difference and also feel more power down over the pedals. I was always coming forward on my saddle w the lay back so this has sorted it out. Going to try a 100mm stem once I'm slightly more used to it.
Next changes/upgrades:
Alpine wing pista forks (almost 300g saving ;) )
Slam dat HS lower race for the CK
Nitto bar ends (done and look ace and way more stable/solid)
Still debating cranks.....
Possibly an SMP dynamic saddle..
Cheers boys.
Yeah it gets ridden almost as much as the V1 these days and the paint literally peels off it.. CR said it probably would and that I'm meant to touch the areas up but tbh I wouldn't be able to do that quick enough!
