Cue Chas disappearing into the back and coming back with a pair of drops.

This here be the website and geo I was talking of:
The measurment is odd on their website, for instance the small and medium have the same amount of stack and reach.
The old geo said 73/73.5, the new geo also said the exact same thing, only their outdated website said differ.

Are you Mr.Angles now?^
I swear your last 200 posts are all about "seattube angle this...", "headtube measures that".
Building course soon Ed?^... you should. -

Can you imaging how horrifying my bike would look if I build it?
It'll bleed your eyes out more than Independent Fabrication can.

I'm srsly considering taking a frame building course at Dave Yates.
Might be my self xmas present.... Dunno if I can't be arsed to wait 1.5yrs though. -

My Indy Fabs frame is a thing of pure, unadulterated beauty.

Then you go and ruin the illusion by sitting on it.

They clearly haven't met you Paul.

They've seen me more than you have.
But, I do love my Indy.

Switched the front tyre to a Schwalbe Ultremo ZX. Good call TM, thanks. Way lighter and very smooth and fast.
Been playing about with positions so I've got quite a good one now which seems comfortable over a few hours of solid riding. It's not 100% but think I need some more time getting used to the frame. Also the saddle isn't turning out to be ideal but shall leave that for now. Booked an appointment with Scherrit in mid feb so that should sort things out and also be a good investment for all my other bikes..
I'm getting a hankering for some nice crabon forks too :) Obviously there's Wound Ups but I really like the look of the matt Leader I806tr ones (flaming expected).. Any suggestions?
Hopefully out on her tomo again for a few miles.. -
• #265
Going to see Scherrit is a great investment and provided future information on fitting your bike.
Wound Ups for your Gangsta? be sure it's a CX one, as the fork is pretty long.
-
• #266
^ totally agree Ed. Just heard so many good things about him and considering the amount of time and money I spend on my bikes it's ridiculous I've not done this earlier.
Nah the forks would be for the Roberts. Was wanting something light and tight to swap around with the slightly more relaxed steel ones.. -
• #267
I learn a lots from Scherrit and were able to help customer massively in getting the right fit on their bicycle (obviously basic but tend to refer them to him if they wanted more information).
As for the fork, it's your bike but honestly I think it'd be a bit far fetched to get a new bike that look awesome and suddenly changing the fork to make it "less relaxed", IMHO of course.

Can't wait to see this finished, you're gonna love your Roberts... Here's mine...
Sorry to dig up but what bars are those?

Hopefully out on her tomo again for a few miles..I found the puncture protection on the ZX to be lacking somewhat. The R.1 however, was perfect.

Thanks mate, good to know. Only put a few miles on the ZX so yet to see properly how it'll behave.
^^^ I think you may be right Ed. I'm going to leave it all as is now and stop spending money on her until I get properly fitted and see what's really necessary and take it from there.. -
• #272
Still waiting for a decent photo of this....
...just to tempt fate, I've done quite a few miles so far on my ZX and no issues.

Hey mate. I'm waiting for the BW fitting so I can get proper photos up. Currently riding it with road drops and hoods but still can't get the fit 100% so hopefully Scherrit will help with that. I miss the Gangsta, it fitted like a glove!
Regarding the tyre I had 3 punctures within a week no matter what tubes or psi I rode it at. It was great bar that. Needless to say it has been replaced with a panaracer but I'm going to give it another try when the weather improves. -

Oh also had to send the front Mack hub back because it had play in the shaft for some reason.. Gutted about it but Mack was really good about the whole thing and has offered to repair/replace it on warranty. Running my old goldtec pro/a23 wheel now so I'm glad I didn't sell it in the end! Having HHSB thoughts for a front though...

Are those forks bent?
I'd be very much surprised if they didn't offer to have you in for a tweak, would seem part of the package of having a custom frame made. You put yourself (and a lot of money) in their experienced hands.
We should be hearing about you heading off on your bike and eating up miles without a care....definitely give them a call.
