All this left side drive hate, it just looks wrong because you aren't used to it.

What about dual side drive. Is that possible? Chain ring on both sides, double fixed hub, same gearing.

Then you can keep everyone happy.

i used to run dual drive sides ... but that was because i rounded off my lh crank lol

On the bike I posted, the advantage was getting off line faster (low gear) without spinning out at the top end (high gear engages automatically after a few metres) in a Kilo. Not sure if UCI banned changeable gears or people just worked out that the advantage wasn't worth the extra weight and drag.

Oh right, that's pretty interesting, there's some sort of weird logic there...
