Nice one dude!
Any ideas on weight. I can't find much on google.

A guy on WW built up this:
http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47468Same year, less than 7kgs with a disc wheel. You could easily strip that weight right down.

This thread was about building a "Light bike" no? How can you reccomend a 1800g+ frame in this thread?
I've just build one up with bog standard component, the only lightweight part is merely the brake levers (carbon), everything else are cheap and cheerful part (Lasco crankset that weight around 800g).
it weight in at 8.5kg, and that without trying hard.
I'd classified that as reasonably light, I suspect it's possible to get an 1800g frame under 8kg with a bit of attention.

Under 8kgs???
My prolite HHSB weighs roughly 6.2kgs (admittedly using the most inaccurate method possible) but 8kgs is going in the opposite direction!!!!
Loftily I'm aiming for under 4.5kgs. Roughly I have to lose 1.8kgs which I think is theoretically doable (right now with the accuracy of crayons). But I will be happy with a 5kg bike.

Iain, have you any weight plates that I can borrow? I need 20kg that can be hung from a pedal axle- so plates with a hole in the middle would be ideal (for threading a length of rope)

This won't be easy if you use a Giant Omnium.

Sadly i leave all the weight plates at the gym. Carrying around/ living with weights is both infeasible and very destructive in this country. Sorry Neil.

No worries, to eBay I go

I realised this this morning.
No point in getting another frame to lie around gathering dust, even if its a steal.

they restrict post count to keep the weight of their hard drives to a minimum.
