Looks like its a charity sale, so the money would be going to a good cause.

The forks on my 29er' are being serviced so I think I'll get it painted
Any more thoughts on this? I saw a polished dale the other day that looked awesome.
@7Üp would certainly have approved.

Got the opportunity to buy 2 cannondale frames a 2.8 and a caad 7. Both are dinged in the drive side of the top tube in exactly the same place, (different owners! )
Bearing in mind they both need a respray is it worth it? the dings aren't that bad but enough that you'd still notice if they were powder coated. I dont know of any way to fill a dent for powdercoating
Which is the better option? Both a similar price. I already have an old cannondale so I know and like how they ride but they are harsh . The caad7 would be comfier, but is the ding in the thin optimo tubing likely to be more of an issue down the road?
..or should I just pass on both?...

I got a coin sized ding on the TT of my caad4. Going on two years now methinks even though I'm not exactly delicate with the bike. Still going strong.
Wouldn't buy it with one though...unless the price reflected it. -

awesome but does scream for a hint of color ... orange bartape :) ? or whatever color
-
• #6686
It screams for black bottle cages I think you'll find.
Ha. -
• #6687
Bottled it at coloured bar tape, difficult to get right!
-
• #6688
But those King Cages work so well...
Until funds are replenished the most I could stretch to is a rattle can to spray black. -
• #6689
@iamalex - don't listen to these people who profess about colour! I agree on the bottle cage front, but otherwise, some chunky Paris Roubaix or Strada Bianca (gumwall only, pls) is the only colour a bike like that should ever have.
Hows Hydro / Di2?
Youve basically done what I've been contemplating doing for ages, only i have an itch for Sram Force X1....... theres just something about those massive square chunky shifters! Oh and hopefully getting rid of all the fucking rattles with hydro cables....

Agree with gum walls but only if they come with the durability of Conti GP 4 Season - do they exist? I had some Paris Roubaix for the last bike but they fell apart before even being installed.
Di2/Hydro thoughts;
- Installing took some patience.
- My partner is certain it's all going explode and leave me dead in a ditch.
- Braking is amazing, no rattling cables and shifting is so smooth.
- Sram hood callouses do not align with Shimano hoods - Hands need to HTFU.
- R785 Di2 buttons rattle so much Shimano should be ashamed. Going to read the manual and see if theres something that can be tightened/adjusted.
Sram X1 is some serious big ring commitment! The clutch mech looks mean though.
