OK thanks all.

My 2014 can fit wide 25c on wide rims + guards.

Before or after modification?

well post new dropout, but that's only one side so I doubt it would affect the overall clearance. I think I could fit 28's in there without guards.

All the normal small Cannondale Supersix tend to be a little offset, making 25mm the max you can go on the chainstay.
Thankfully, 2016 is much better, I hope.

Better to get the £750 hi-mod frameset and build that up with Ultegra, surely? Would probably be lighter than the Evo Red.
didnt spot framesets, would be perfect, sadly no 48cm.
I have 105 on the winter bike and think it feels horrible, the way the lever flaps across slightly while braking, eugh.. Imagine Ultegra is the same?

105 5800? I'm no Shimano fan (I prefer the Campagnolo Chorus I have on my best bike), but I was pleasantly surprised by their latest groupsets. I'm not sure what you mean by 'lever flap'.

Supersix or Synapse?

the fact that the brake lever is part of the gear shifting mechanism

Oh I see. Can't say I notice any flapping. I have SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo bikes and all the groupsets have their foibles. Campag has the best balance of solidity and ease of shifting for me. I really like the feel of SRAM eTap shifting though. Wish I had £2000 lying around.

He talking about the slight play before engagement.
This is to prevent changing gears while braking, with shimano you need to push it a little further to engaged it, whether SRAM is engaged the moment you push the paddle.
It's only a problem if you're treating it like you would a Campag/SRAM shifters. -

that too, but I also just mean the fact that it is possible to move the brake lever from side to side while braking. I just prefer the solid feeling of sram.

2016 supersix evo tiagra for 1300 and then moving force 22 onto it and selling tiagra and the caad10 frameset might be cheapest option, what do people reckon?
tiagra supersix is also the nicest colourway..

• #3242
have you ruled out Hi-mod and rival 22? £385 groupset with BB30 cranks. http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8;product=94844;menu=1000,4,26

...or SRAM Force for the BB30 chainset. You need an adapter to use a Shimano chainset.
The KCNC BB is good, doesn't creak and is easy to remove just needs 2 external BB tools, and is probably cheaper than a BB30.

Why pay full whack for the 2016 Tiagra when you can get the 2015 105 for £999?
Or one of these two if you can find your size:

Especially when they're exactly the same frame.
Always go for 2015 model if it's available.

There are a lot of shops with discounted 2015 Supersixes, definitely worth spending some time on the internet and telephone. Try giving Epic Cycles a ring, they did a great deal on my girlfriend's Genesis Equilibrium and they are a Cannondale stockist.

cheers, will give them a try.
Is this the same as the men's frame?
No difference until the 2016 model that have massive clearance for 30mm even.
