do you have any more details/pics on the process of filling in a toptube dent?
-
• #13554
don’t do that.. you won’t be able to see if it develops into a crack

I did the silver finishing kit thing on my old bikes. A bit of a marmite thing but mostly got compliments!

Love the blue colorway, plus nice build

Lovely builds, slammage makes it that much easier to pull off the silver stem.
Never used it myself but Campag stuff always looks so good on those generation Dale's.

Oi oi some sexy toys. Niiice.
Just got some Cannondale c1 finishing kit on eBay as well as two "matching" selle SLRs.
Another build coming woopwoop -

Silver bars would make them.

Yeah that was my 9, i liked the silver kit but never quite got the look right. Silver is harder to pull of IMO and less forgiving of different finishes.
As above, slammed stem, matching post and stem are a must. Straight toptube on the 5, 8 and 7 also better suited than the hump backed 9.

Santa Claus came round. Shame saddles are bit tired, will have to paint them most likely.

What are the mudguards on the right one? And how do they compare to race blade long?
Thanks

Yeah I’ve seen this a couple of times too. I personally think it’s hideous.

Yep, Flingers. That review sums them up, but you do need to add flaps to them as they are not long enough. But none of them are. Look up RAW Flaps or make your own.
In hindsight, I would have paid more for Portland Design Works. But I was being cheap, which I usually regret.
The Flingers are the best for ~£50. But skip a few takeaways and get the PDWs.
Really like that frame. Am sure your plan will be great. I’d personally go silver stem, silver seatpost and some deep section silver rims with gumwalls. But I’m a tart.
That's what I want to do on mine, but I don't think it will look right on my six13.
