I do too. A brand new pair un-cut of wound-ups with disc tabs and fender eyelets.
James: you can have them for what they cost me, should you wish to do so, for I'm thinking now they won't get used.
Benefit to you: immediate gratification.

Wound Ups are adorable.

• #204
Yes. James: buy my Wound Ups.
-
• #205

you could always run the poisons on the week days, and save the woundups for Le weekend.
-
• #209
^ ridiculously this is what I was thinking of doing.
Life is too short though.
-
• #210
in an ideal world the wound ups are the forks i most wanted, just because i like the way they look
but at £250 more expensive, i am struggling to justify them
-
• #211
These (poison forks) are not the forks you are looking for.
Etc.

Money cant buy you love. But it can provide material satisfaction.
Most women would happily drop £250 on a handbag or pair of shoes. A MAMIL would happily drop £250 for a bike service.
-
• #213
As a MAMIL I object to that assertion.
James- the poison forks, one and one eighth?
-
• #214
Howard, sell me the Wound Up.
-
• #215
I can sell it to anyone - only problem is I need what I paid for it (inc VAT and customs). So the only advantage you get from buying it from me rather than Aspire is that you don't have to wait for it.
Don't want to set any expectation of anyone getting an LFGSS discount on it really - if I can't sell it at cost I will use it at some point.
PM me if you want it.

Why are Wound Ups so sought after?
-
• #217
Fashion before function. Same with Thomson & CK headsets.
-
• #218
I have all three on one bike.
Does that make me fashionable?
-
• #219
With that barnet?
-
• #220
it's like a double negative
-
• #221
At the time the Wound Up cx fork was the only option I had for a decent proven quality fork with disc tabs and fender eyelets. So no, not form before function.
-
• #223
no reason to get upset, they look pretty but the world has moved on.
-
• #224
Maybe you need to as well.
-
• #225
the poison fork is 1 1/8"
amazingly good value, it looks like quite a few other disc and mudguard compatible carbon cx forks with an al steerer
and took a matter of days to arrive
I haz forks...
