I'm actually looking forward to this tournament now.
Not really bothered about England, but it will be nice to come home everyday and watch a game. Some pretty decent fixtures in the first round too.

I'm going with the big shock of Italy beating Spain and Portugal beating the Germans

I fancy us to lose more heavily than that^^ against France, then more heavily still in the next game until the point arrives none of our lot dare take to the pitch as their laughing stock status is cemented for all eternity, but not before the FA appoint Rio as Roy's successor. Oh yes, we are going to fall apart spectacularly.

But if we win the tournament, I told you so.

And I was half watching the France - Estonia game on a stream and even though they won 4-0 I thought they were pretty uninspiring and didn't show as much as I thought they would going forward. Estonia offered nothing offensively. Maybe the French just didn't seem up for it but I think England stand a good chance of leaving the group.

Footballers != men

Predicting like this is stupid for the following reasons -

(1) You do not watch the teams often enough to know how they play. Even England we have little idea, seeing as we have only seen two friendlies.
(2) It's basically picking the best team on paper and guessing the odd surpise.
(3) Most importantly, predicting honestly puts you in a conflict of interest position when watching games - natural bigotry and hatred, what football is all about, is compromised by a desire to prove that you are right. Anyone who puts themselves in a position where their natural bigotry and hatred is compromised is a fool, and it is pointless to predict games based on who you want to win.
