  • But he might have more luck with a Colonel Sanders Bargain Bucket.

  • What are you trying to implicate?

  • The differences in potential success rates with two different foodstuffs.

  • For a first date, KFC or a kebab shop?

  • Pizza Hut...

  • I find that a bit too posh for a first date...

  • England are shit

  • I find that a bit too posh for a first date...

    Salad cart and ice-cream factory?

Never failed to get me a nosh in my teens.

  • Don't want to set the standards too high. Before you know it you end up in Nando's...

  • So, there's now 6 players in the England squad that play for the team that finished 8th in The Premiership?! That Hodgson fella really is a helmet!

  • ^ My thoughts also.

Just noticed the Russian manager is called Dick Advocaat.

Excellent euphemism. Didn't think Dick Butter, which I heard the other day could be topped.

  • I think Holland will win it

I reckon Germany will walk it.

    No.
And don't take me wrong, I have no hopes regarding my own country,
but no, them 2 haven't got it.

  • Neither have we.

  • who has?

They're the only sides who have consistent form in the qualifiers. Although Portugal are touted as having an uncharacteristically strong defence, and might cause an upset with holland's not-so-total-football-anymore predictable attack. Then again, denmark finished ahead of portugal in their group beating them 2-1 in the process.

From an england perspective, I think getting out of the group is their biggest problem. Beating either Sweden or France, with this squad will be a big ask. If they do make it through to play Spain/Italy then weirdly enough I think they have a chance to get to the semis to be knocked out by germany.

  • Germany will win this shit. They've got such a good young team.

  • They aren't just a counter-attacking side anymore either.

They will definitely be a couple of against the grain results, but Germany are by far the most likely to eek out results over 90 mins.

  • No.
And don't take me wrong, I have no hopes regarding my own country,
but no, them 2 haven't got it.

That's a bit of a shit answer, who has got it? Spain? Holland have got the the top scorer from both the Bundesliga and the Premier League in their ranks.

I'm still sticking to Germany fwiw.

  • Well, yeah, I'd bet Spain will actually man-up to go through (again), with 1-0 results.
More likely than us (POR). England has a good chance here to, maybe(!?!), see it through to the semis... apart from the fact that they're shite. Lol.
Or the worst case scenario (IMHO), Italy..

And Jaw, I just said them 2 haven't got it, from where I see it, Germany seems to compromise a lot in difficult times, but then, they can do the exact opposite too.
I for one, don't like german football.

I'll stick with Poland this year ;)

  • Scratch that actually, I don't like Polish football.

  • I reckon that Spain might turn out to be the disappointment of the tournament, their players seem knackered. Germany on the other hand have it all to prove. I wouldn't be surprised if the Netherlands can't get out of the group stages. As for England, they'll do well to get out of the group stages.

  • My understanding is that Hodgson's coaching and managerial style live and dies on the level of teamwork the side's prepared to put in. Maybe that's why he's opting for liverpool's dregs. He said his initial squad was intended to reflect those who played in the qualifying campaign. Fair enough with a month to go. After injuries he's opted for what he deems more malleable players. The problem with this is that, just as at liverpool, he's still faced with dinosaurs in the side. All it takes is Gerrard to usurp the team and splay himself about the park ineffectively to bring it all tumbling down.

  • i wish roy called heskey replace welbeck ...

  • Gerrard now pulled out

  • He pulled out or his new manager has pulled him out, Fergie style?

  • Out. Bunions
