  • This frame is for sale.

  • Price? Also remind me of the geometry :-)

  • It's a Ridley Oval 907C frame, for which I paid £259 from Chainreaction on the 4th of July.

I had it repainted by Armourtex, chased/faced etc, bought it a headset and sold the track fork it came with- so the frame probably owes me around £300 when everything is taken into consideration.

    So- does £200 sound reasonable?

Here's what it looked like when it arrived:

This is the 58cm frame (I'll measure the headtube and confirm that when I've finished this post):

  • It's the 58.

  • Just notice the geometry, it's very T-rex friendly (54cm TT have a whopping 160mm headtube).

  • Are you selling it with, or without the fork?

  • Without.

  • I'd have been interested but too big.

  • Have you considered a deep-drop stem like a Deda Newton Pista? It would be very slave.

  • Those bars arent going to get much lower without a silly looking stem.

    .

    ^ ignore/block him

  • It fit you better than the Singular uh-may.

    stop

  • so are you getting a new sweet fixie? or is this it

  • I'd put my money on something steel, with nemesis rims and 7710 hubs

  • Very good- next bike will be a (modern interpretation of a) Path Racer, in steel.

  • Oak?

  • Talbot

  • nice, what tubeset?

  • oh yes

  • 531 for 531?

  • All a bit tentative at the moment, but I am thinking:

    • Swaged seat tube
    • Swaged downtube
    • 1 and 1/8th headtube (ahead)
    • Modest top tube
    • Wishbone rear stay, pencil seat stays
    • Beefy as all-get-out chainstays
    • Fillet brazed
    • 853
  • Got to be MAX chainstays...

Are you getting it built for guards in true path style?

If not, it sounds like my dream frame...

What about bilam 44mm/1/18th headtube for bling bling?

  • It'll have 'guard mounts, and water bottle mounts.

It may even have a single mount on the wishbone for a Tubus Fly rack.

All the mounts apart from the bottle mounts are likely to be hidden in some way.

Going to use a standard headtube for simplicity.

I'd like to use my 3T Funda Team fork- but it doesn't have 'guard mounts.

  • Get some bonded on? It'll be needing a paint anyway...
