Would have ridden this into work today, but the seatpost is far too short.
So, anyone got a ~400mm 27.2 post?
Also I could do with an 18T sprocket if anyone has one going spare.

The only new parts are the cranks- and they are made of depleted uranium from the figures on my scales. Everything else is, quite honestly, parts I had already.
Once it's up and running then it might come to light that certain parts need replacing, and it would of course make sense to choose the replacement parts based on criteria that include weight amongst them.

That stem would take my road bike down to 6.6kg
-
• #38
And cost a fortune...

• #39
I doubt it would be cheap, it's also pretty ugly (in my view).

how are langster frames out of interest ?
do they flex ? or are they proper aluminium frames i.e. stiff as ****a nice pair of carbon forks, carbon bars, carbon seatpost
carbon wheels carbon spokes carbon stem carbon cranks and i think we are therehmmmmmmm

Probably lower then that as you'll need new bars because the AX stems only come in standard size to match their bars not oversize ..
-
• #42
My bars weigh 189g for 44cm c-c, they have a 31.8mm clamping section.
Much lighter than that?

The matching AX 4000 is 130 to 150 gram depending on width ..

Golly.

It is fucking grim but there are nice looking light stems.
Extralite or Syntace F99 are both good. I prefer the Extralite. -

Incidentally my favourite stem weighs a ton.

helpfully it's got a maximum torque limit, just in case some one wants to 'nip' it up..

Wrenching* things back on topic:
*Torque, of course

Sadly angle is wrong, and I need a longer post, so position will change:
