In the polling station there were two policemen.
This is blatant intimidation by Paddick. -

Stuck in the lab, don't think I'll make it in time to vote!

My polling station only provided pencils to mark the ballot papers...
Never had that before, seems to leave the door open to potential abuse. -

Isn't that normal?
People had nicked half the pencils from mine. Good old Catford.

it's always pencils to vote...
I am also badly not voting :(

I saw Boris around 6 at Fulham Broadway station with a mob trying to take photos. I couldn't have given a fuck less if I had tried. Just kept on walking and tutted a few times. If I could vote, it would be without a doubt Ken.
In my local election though I did vote labour.

I forced pretty much every apathetic political whinger I'm aquainted with to vote.
I've taken this election as my mainstream political coming of age, which, at 35, is pretty pathetic.
Can't stomach any more tory control without at least registering my dissatisfaction. I blame Tony Judt... -

Person behind me at the polling station:
"Yeah, course I'm voting conservative then lib dem. Not that I know what any of it means."
Run by a clown, elected by clowns.

Through apathy and ignorance London gets the mayor it deserves...
Fucking makes me sick.

OK OK I'll go.

Although, four more years of boris may actually encourage Londoners to vote with their heads.

Do the low voting figures for the LFGSS poll reflect a wider voter apathy?
Not scientific in any way but thread has had 4000 odd views but only 144 votes (ignoring guests unable to vote and multiple re-views by same person) which suggests many things but perhaps a lack of engagement or apathy....or has had 321 contributions and 144 votes so a fairly respectable but still low 45% of contributors voted (ignoring multi-contributions by same person)
Needs more science.

Or they're saving their vote for the real poll

45%'s about standard isn't it?
also I'm not entirely sure the poll is entirely representative. I voted for hippy up there ^ but couldn't find him on the ballot papers :(

Didn't see 'hippy' on the ballot paper so drew a snail eating an ice cream cone and left the voting booth in disgust.

Sadly yes, wished more people engaged (in the real vote) though can understand the apathy when faced with the choices. Regardless, a votes a vote. Even a spoiled ballot paper says you give a shit.
Good thread though, in that people are getting involved.

Shit, why doesn't that surprise me.
IFE out in force to take over the borough again.
These cunts are Ken's mates.
you need to have your polling card issued by 10pm usually..
