  • Yes, Boris is a clown.
And yes, Ken's one as well. Some people just seem to have forgotten he's been in charge for 8 years not so long ago and did not achieve much either.

No. Boris is a man using clowning to avoid being held to account. He does it successfully and the media lap it up.

I don't see how you can call Ken a clown. He had a huge positive impact on the things he could control during his 8 years. Ken seems to attract huge amounts of almost entirely baseless vitriol. If you can't explain why you think Ken's a clown i will assume that it's a view you adsorbed without rational thought.

not baseless. I have still yet to hear someone tell me why it was appropriate to give people like Al Qaradawi a platform while representing London as mayor. heres that link again:
Al Qaradawi praising Hitler's antisemitism - YouTube

  • stop posting the same video, this isn't your campaign blog.

FYI Livingstone's account of the Al Qaradawi invitation has been posted.

    er what?

sorry that video answers very little. If he knew nothing about the man then his publishing of a bloody great big dossier defending the man after bigging him up in public so much obviously shows that he did it for nothing but a promotion of his own 'multi-ethnic' sensibilities. It put him on the big stage and it appealed to certain parts of the electorate. He didnt even for a minute consider whether it was appropriate to promote such a horrific scumbag, and then defend him to the hilt in full public. Its all about Ken

That in my mind is divisive and a disgraceful way for an elected politician in our country to behave. Apparently you think its fine though and that answer to a question in a press conference is easily enough. Weak

  • What kind of fuckwit votes purely on a manifesto? Manifestos are largely for people who don't take an active interest.

The content of a manefesto is meaningless without contextualisation. People actually read them as if they are an objective document, like a menu or a contract, and then think they've done their duty reading a leaflet once every 2-4 years

not his proudest moment. but it was only a tory vote lost so i didn't care

  • ^^i saw jake and laura at the weekend. he said you're back in London's famous Ken's London (my trolling words, not his)

  • @OLL, half my times spent in reading, half in london, when im done with exams and the rest of this enormous pile of work etc ill be in touch. Its been too long

  • ben - cool. look forward to it

alex - ha, i guess you're replying to another ben on another page!

You have a very short memory.

  • Are any of the candidates pledging to ban lorries from the centre at rush hour? Earls Ct was a meat grinder this morning.

  • i think Paddick has some sort of idea where lorries stop at big depots outside london and transfer loads to small electric vans to make deliveries

i'll let you decide if it's feasible or not :-)

  • I haz voted!

  • I'm done - go UKIP!

  • Saw Boris on the tube this morning.. what a man of the people.

Voting when I get home. For myself & on behalf of my girlfriend who is currently in Germany. 100% increase in my voting power.. at this rate I'll decide the elections on my own in about 10 years..

  • Job done. I hope it turns out like the LFGSS poll

  • Saw Boris on the tube this morning.. what a man of the people.

Fair weather cyclist (and you ;).

  • What a pleasant voting experience
Bike parking in the voting booth ftw

  • yep voted.

yep i also took my bike into the polling station. i got a few funny looks so i started joking with the people manning the polling station that they had all parked their cars in the childrens playground.

you gotta have a laff on polling day innit.
