  • getting the party train on the monday via paris then geneva!
    do it..

  • Come to Karlsruhe first, it's only a couple of hours from Geneva.

  • both sound really temping but cant afford to take any more days off. boo.

do you guys know why it says it will start Wednesday (or Thursday)?...

  • wildcard

    Day off is so awesome

  • on lopb it says wildcard is on the Tuesday. is that just in case in runs over schedule?

  • thanks joshy!

  • im thinking about buying a ticket to KA instead, but my tickets to Geneva are non refundable.

Does anyone want to buy a one way ticket from London to Geneva? Leaving on Monday 13th Kings X @ 7.01 arr GVA @ 14.16. Ticket on rail europe is £165.50.

    £80 anyone?

  • Just booked the 1730 BA flight from Geneva to Heathrow on Sunday 19 August. Pretty cheap right now, £72 inc bike.

  • how did you get £72? im getting £84.

  • dunno, maybe I worked out the conversion wrong? 84 is still good.

  • prog is clear>

We want the Wildcard on tuesday to have a day off after to avoid issues and fixing stuff. And have all fun around lake too, and on tuesday night too.

  • great plan clement! looking forward to it!

  • i haven't had any email confirming i've got housing or that you want me to volunteer, but i'm assuming it's all good. see you in a couple of weeks

  • we sucked about answering the volunteers, sorry about that. Yes you would have housing!

  • im thinking about buying a ticket to KA instead, but my tickets to Geneva are non refundable.

I got my non-refundable train tickets refunded after a chat with the train operator. I made up an excuse about my riding buddies leg getting broken and having to cancel the trip. Cost me recorded delivery of the tickets.. worth a try.

  • ha, yeah i'll try and get it refunded.. but how can i explain i want to still use the return ticket!

also, who's up for camping? is there a campsite anywhere good, clem?

  • Yeah a good one but kind of far from courts and expensive. I would say bunkers and parcs in front o lake when your too drunk.

  • debating whether getting an overnight coach back from geneva is a good idea or not. £75 door to door, which is a lot cheaper and less hassle than the alternatives as far as I'm aware..

  • £70 one way flight on ba GVA>LDN

EDIT. i assume £75 is for a return journey?

  • Josh: If you are uncomfortable then that kind of trip could become unbearable? I'd go for a plain/train.

  • No that's one way. I'd just prefer not to fly!

  • but maybe it makes too much sense not to..

  • £70 one way flight on ba GVA>LDN

    Is that including bike?

  • flights booked, early there, and early back, awaiting confirmation from friends I can crash on their floors...
