That link? Should be £56.15 with VAT and P&P...check again....

  • My mistake, looking at the wrong RAM, sorry!

  • Ha! I was so confused trying to understand what you had typed then.

  • This is what I've got at the moment;

    http://www.ebuyer.com/173122-corsair-4gb-2x2gb-ddr3-1600mhz-pc3-12800-xms3-i5-memory-kit-cl9-9-9-9-24-1-65v-cmx4gx3m2a1600c9

    Should I jsut order another?

Yeah...stick with the same brand and model....

  • I'd invest in an SSD as well, the Crucial M4 being a good choice...60/64GB being a good affordable size...

  • Or I could go with these.

8gb + my current 4gb 12 will be more than enough for a good year. £41. Or am I better getting the £25 jobbie?

It's up to you. whatever is within your budget. 12GB sounds better...

  • A Corsair 550D

Very nice case. I've got a similar ebuyer own brand case. Cable management options are not quite as nice as yours though. I suspect that if I had extensions for cables I'd be able to make it much tidier though.

Still have 6 fans all connected via molex there's only so much you can do.

  • The Sims issue could also be a GPU card issue as well. You should try Scan UK for RAM, I bought 4x4GB Corsair Vengance low profile from there for about £52. Good deal! Also an SSD would sort out load times as well.

Also why would the Sims be a GPU issue? I've got a 6870 in there.

Yeah sorry, wasn't sure what you were running plus I didn't read your post properly, I have a habit of "scanning" things sometimes...

  • Not a problem.

I also need to work on the cable management in my case. May post a picture up here tonight with some queries as to how I can tidy things up.

Figure if I'm fitting more RAM and possibly a new SSD I may have a spring clean and tidy it up inside properly.

  • ^ Zipties.
    Zipties everywhere.

  • But I think I need extensions for certain wires too.

  • Gah, thats always a nuisance. Certain components getting in the way or are they just nowhere near long enough to fit in neatly?
PSU location is always the killer.

  • PSU is at the bottom.

The biggest pain is I've got 6 fans - all powered by molex so there's cables everywhere. 1 in the front, 2 up top 1 on the back and 2 on the side (which opens to make things even more of a PITA)

  • 5.25" fan controller in the drive bay?

  • Brilliant idea spotter much cheaper than I thought too. they also do a mobo fan splitter would that be a better option??

  • do you mean like this?

  • Yep. I think my fans are all molex though bar 1 or 2. Do I convert them for that or am I better off going down the controller route???

  • I'd personally think controller if you've got 6

  • Ok I'm selling some PC bits, not amazing but this was going to be a build for a friend of mine and they've changed their mind about the PC and have opted to buy a laptop instead. I have the following

Antec 350W PSU practically brand new and still in Box £30 incl. delivery

Asus P5G41T Motherboard with Core 2 Duo CPU and Stock Cooler. The Motherboard is fully reconditioned from an Ebay supplier, no IO shield however, but I'm sure you could pick one up. Also comes with stand off's and screws if needed. £35 incl delivery.

Brand new Adata 8GB of RAM 1333MHz £25.00 delivered.

Like I said, the PC was built, tested as working then after about 30 minutes worth of use client changed their minds and bought a cheap laptop instead. I'm open to offers as well and if you think you could make use of the parts PM me. Otherwise I'll probably pop them on eBay. I've also got an odd Aerocool case and some 80mm fans as well that I'll post up.
