• so fat girls are better then ?

  • so fat girls are better then ?

Depends on how you measure performance

  • Faster ? Nice ride ?

    It's what we all want

  • To compare one with the other is like comparing apples with pears.

That's his point; it is comparing apples with pears, rather than the more common incomparables such as chalk/cheese or apples/oranges. Pears and apples are both pomaceous fruits, and likewise high performance and low rolling resistance are closely related. Even at 50km/h,rolling resistance accounts for around 10% of the total power required to propel a bicycle, so ultimate performance requires that attention is paid to it.

  • all things being equal ...

  • which are faster though-apples or pears? And then, what about chinese pears because they're hard to categorise. And a competition between a granny smith and a pink lady... is that fairer because they share the same gender? or does the implied age difference negate this? So many questions...

  • Depends if they're racing on flat ground or on staircases, I'd imagine.

  • From the ice-age to the dole-age
    There is but one concern
    I have just discovered:

Some tyres are bigger than others
Some tyres are bigger than others

  • Well this thread's been an education.

Not exactly sure what I've learned but I'm cool with that.

  • All tyres are equal, but some are more equal than others

  • @Fox - Boonen was on 27mm FMB tubs yesterday, but they come up as 28.2mm; apparently.

  • Nino?

  • 59.5psi front, 62.4psi rear. Etc.

  • Ok, after digesting this...

I admit, I have been an 'over-inflater' sniff

  • N***?

    Nazi ?

  • Nino?

    Nuno?

  • Nigo?

    Where is this even going?

  • Finding Nemo?

  • Nick?

    Nora?

    Naim?

    Nayr?

    Naji?

    Nate?

    Nico?

Has this name puzzle been solved yet?

  • It was never a puzzle to me.

Simply one of 3 individuals on this forum that do my digestive tract a terrible mischief.

  • Really? just the three?

  • When I lived in Greece I got used to being called (generally) Nil, as the Greeks don't use a long vowel sound, so they ignore/miss it.

    /csb

  • one of 3 individuals on this forum that do my digestive tract a terrible mischief.

    Have you considered not swallowing?

  • Ok, after digesting this...

I admit, I have been an 'over-inflater' sniff

On top of that, pressure varies with temperature, say tyre was pumped up with cold air from your cellar then let the wheels stand out in a hot sunny day - BAM.

There used to be a time I'd keep an eye on having the right pressure according to my weight and so forth. But since there is a general gradual loss of air and varying pressure...
    who cares?
    Just go max, sorted.

  • This thread is solid fucking gold.

    Great job everyone.

It's like the good old LFGSS days of cathartic inter-nerd cunthardiness.
