Andrew riding into the back of a stationary car was particularly mythic.

Or Ho's quick left turn out of the Jolly Butchers. Look out!

I think that was a phyrric victory in the race to the lights.

strava segment!
-
• #307
Hes king of the mountain in the race up the back windscreen
-
• #308
strava segment!
Ada did ask if it was a strava segment when she met up with us at Wests!
-
• #309
Potential very late onset of shock but fine other than a huge bruise to my left leg and friction burns on my left hand...
Good day anyway...
-
• #310
yup, that was a grand slam into the back of that car :)
-
• #311
Sorry andy, didn't realise you were hurt badly. heal up lad
-
• #312
andy
please tell your housemates what has happened, if you start to feel unwell get to a hospital
shock can have really bad consequences
heal up fast, think of the recuperative process as a strava segment, you will race through it

The bulge on your thigh of your shorts was far more impressive than the one in the front.

• #314
Oh Andrew.

Grower, not a show-er. What can I say...

Or Ho's quick left turn out of the Jolly Butchers. Look out!
that was....scary to say the least.

• #317
Fuck....
Got a feeling I won't be walking properly for weeks let alone riding. Can't put any weight down or move my right knee this morning - I see hospital trip no.2 on the cards... both shoulders ache and both hips also seem have deep bruising that I didn't notice yesterday.
Time for the Tramalol.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..

• #318
I wish you had gone to hospital yesterday, sorry if i was a little forceful on the matter.
Ideally wait until you have been seen by them before taking any painkillers.
Please listen to their advice, take some rest and heal up fast.

I went to Charing X last night after leaving The Raven. They saw me pretty quickly but said as the swelling had gone down quite a bit, that there was little they could do apart from give me anti-inflammatory tablets and Tramadol.
No x-rays taken because I could stand fine, I hadn't hit my head or twisted my neck at any point, but didn't realise I'd hit/twisted my knee so hard. It is absolute agony now down the inside - can't tell for sure and obviously don't "know" but at a guess there's a torn ligament in there somewhere.. -

Your shoulders took the brunt of the initial impact when your handlebars hit the back of the car and lot of the force will have been dissipated by this, so there will be a fair degree of strain in your neck and shoulders.
Any impact of that nature will be a big trauma to your entire body, the aches and pains may take a few more days to reveal themselves.
Have you got a crutch or walking stick?
-
• #321
Yeah thats the only conclusion that makes sense to me - I have no grazing whatsoever on my back or shoulders. As far as a walking stick, I've improvised with my umbrella. Just taking enough of the weight off (not that I intend to do anything other than stay lying down watching tv for the next 12hrs)

I am so fucking sunburnt.
Ouch.
-
• #324
When I got home I wasn't sure if I was sunburnt, so I slapped myself on the arm quite hard. I was sunburnt. Anyway good day, great to see everybody.
Hope you heal up soon Andy, if only because your leg looked kind of creepy...
Good decision to come to The Lamb Dom.
And thanks for the cunt sticker Apollo, I didn't notice it till we'd been at Wests for a while but I only needed one of my three guesses to find out who put it there.
-
• #325
May I ask who the other two candidates were and how you decided on me?
Coolio. The Raven beckons...
