I'm also voting ladies fit over unisex please, and could you find out how many 30 would be, if possible? I really can't see us shifting 50

• #253
If there's a ladies cut (happy to pay a little more for this) I'm on the list.

OK let's go with Milltag.
^ I will find out hoefla. I will post on a few other threads now to see if we can galvanise some more interest.
I don't mind paying the deposit and keeping some jerseys back for those who decide they want one at a later date.
(Of course, if we did get a unisex fit, some of the boys on here may want one, or maybe they do anyway.)
Oh and do we have a preference for zips? I prefer a full zip but am easy.
-
• #256
Yeah I prefer full zips too, easy to whip off when you get home all sweaty!
Thanks for doing this MM :)
-
• #257
Glad I'm not the only one!
Thank you for the design lovey!
-
• #258
problem with paying deposit on shirts to sell later is knowing what sizes to get..
I'm not sure about zips. I don't think I've ever had a 3/4 zip but I quite like the idea. but don't feel strongly about it!
what did you think about champion system? quick look at the site says £32plusVAT so £38.40 but minimum is only 10. -

Velocio's wondering if we'd like the .eps of the LFGSS logo to include somewhere (make it more official like innit) and/or the reference for the blue colour...?
-
• #260
I think we should match the blue - or at least see if we can get a fabric sample in the right colour, then if it isn't to taste (scoot? do we need a final design/production posse?) we can vary it a little.
logo - I think that unless Velocio actively wants us to use the logo somewhere we don't need it, or it could be a really small tag somewhere, like in the white sleeve stripe (blue writing on white like the site header).also... did the dinosaur patches happen? would look awesome sewn onto a jersey :)
(and an easy way to slightly customise jerseys too) -
• #261
The blue must definitely be as close to official lfgss blue as possible. I tried to colour pick it from the logo itself for the jersey but it seems to have come out much darker. (edit: just remembered that the colour inside the roundel is the right blue it's just the panels and sleeves which are the wrong colour)
Could put the official logo sideways along the side panels in black like the twin six jerseys?
Like this
but on this? I'd mock it up but I'm not on my photoshop computer, you'll have to squint and use your imagination! I have a slight worry that the typography of the logo and my design may clash horribly.
Dino patches...yeah I started them but was trying to use illustrator for the image and I'm rubbish at illustrator and gave up in a huff. Might give it another go though.

• #262
Also I need to re-jig the lettering of 'lfgss' and 'ladies' because there is something very wonky looking/badly kerned about them.
-
• #263
re: the typography - yeah partly why I was thinking to keep official logo kinda small (vertical in the white stripe). maybe we don't need it? there's already LFGSS on the back and front?
dinosaurs - didn't realise you were also doing this Scoot! no rush.
-
• #264
^^ could give it to tom!
-
• #265
Which Tom?
Did we decide not to have a dinosaur on a sleeve/under an armpit?
-
• #266
^^ Not sure if he'd be too happy about that! Kerning in a circle is a bitch.
-
• #267
mm: clue's in his username...
I reckon a group sharpie session should solve the indecision about which dinosaur and where to have it :)
-
• #268
Would you be able to get a sample of each size and tour them around the drinks getting money straight off people when they know the actual fit?
-
• #269
^^ There are a few Toms on here though!
^ lardboy, do you mean get people to pay before we place the order?
-
• #270
cough(6pt)
-
• #271
Assuming you're a bunch of trustworthy people, then yes. Otherwise, you risk people dropping out when the time to pay arrives and a pile of unpaid for jerseys.
-
• #272
Am quite happy to pay in advance, just need to check sizing,
-
• #273
Without wanting to steal Milltag's thunder (and I do love their jerseys), if you don't want to shell out for such a high run, www.cycle-clothing.co.uk do runs of 10 minimum. Their base unit price is consequently higher, but not too much.
-
• #274
I am sad that the Pixies milltag shirt is sold out.
-
• #275
Milltag have said we can have them for £35 each provided we order at least 30. I think that is a bloomin' marvellous price. And we can have full length zips for now extra cost.
Long sleeve jerseys would be £45.
Scoot, are you making some final tweaks to the lettering?
What do people think? I reckon we can find 30 buyers. Do we stick with Milltag given finger_jockey and others' suggestions?
This place does women's cuts from £39.99: http://customcyclingclothing.co.uk/products/womens-custom-cycling-jersey-short-sleeves/
No idea if they're any good though - and probably over 39.99 for smaller orders.
