Has anybody spoken to Big Daddy Wayne (or anyone else for that matter) re suppliers?
Do you want me to investigate?

Right, how many do we think we should have made in the first instance?
I have found a few recommended places.

Cheers Alex! If we've got enough for a minimum order I reckon get that, if it covers names/numbers above if you see what I mean!

We use Champ Sys http://champ-sys.co.uk/ for the Grupetto kit.
Pretty good prices for the jerseys.
10 Jerseys minimum.

Why is it that the woman's jersey looks cool and the men's jersey looks fucking abysmal?

Sorry for the delay in getting costs over (busy week).
I now have the design (thanks Scoot) and am on the case...

Alright peeps. I've got some prices. Whittled it down to the two most appealing:
Ed at Milltag (who did the lfgss jersey in 2011) says they can do a ladies cut for** £30 **if we order at least 50. They do full zip as well as 3/4 length zip and can do both short and long sleeve (though long sleeve a bit more obviously).
They require 50% up front and rest on delivery and take about 6 weeks from order.
OR
Daniel at Owayo can do minimum of 40 for about £35.
It's a unisex cut but they have thousands of female riders. Daniel suggests the best bet is to have some viewing samples sent out to view the material, product, fit, print.
Thoughts?

I have the miltag 2011 jersey and I have worn and washed it lots and it still looks practically like new, it is very good quality. I'm not familiar with Owayo jerseys.
I reckon both price points are good and I would be willing to pay a deposit on either. Getting some samples to see how they fit is definitely a good move though.
Thanks for sorting this out missmouse!

I have an Owayo jersey, I haven't washed it much (because it's new, not because I'm filthy!!) so can't say how it lasts, but it seems good quality - sorry, that's not much help!! Fit-wise, it's not the best, I think I might have to do a bit of sewing to make mine fit properly. But that's just me, I think I have weird proportions.
I'd also be happy to pay a deposit, and I think samples is an excellent idea.
Oh, and thanks missmouse :)

The fit on the Owayo shirts is fine so long as you don't need to cantilever your boobs in. If, like me, you need a crane to hoist them into place before zipping up, you're going to have problems. The large size on me is tight across the prow and madly baggy and flappy in the waist. The material is, like hats says, good quality.
I think we're going to struggle to find even 30 people as a minimum order, tbh.

oh, or maybe not if the Owayo jerseys don't fit so well.
-
• #248
I'd personally prefer a ladies cut over unisex, simply because I have quite wide hips and most unisex tops I've tried on are too tight across the hips and massively baggy around the waist on me.
I'd be happy to pay a deposit on those prices, but it looks like we might not be able to make those minimum order numbers :/
Thanks for getting all the info missmouse!

Haha, seems like we have the same problem with those tops!

so... MM any idea what kind of surcharge there would be on Millitag if we had, say, 30 orders?
Might be worth speaking to Big Daddy Wayne re suppliers, he designed the CS Grupetto jerseys, which are lovely.
oh and I'm in if the size is right..
