I'd fly BA to Bologna, £180 right now. Easyjet and Ryanair also fly there.

Ryanair also fly to Ancona

Manchester to Bologna is cheapest with Air France via CDG, £260/person, would have to work out whether getting a train to LHR is cheaper/quicker.
