This place doesn't sound like a college.

It sounds like a parallel dimension to me! Is this what 6th form in London is all about or is it a private school thing? Suits? Detention? Calling your parents to see whether you're lying? At my run of the mill 6th form we all wore disastrous grungy hair, Cure T shirts and a miserable demeanour. Also used to get stoned before class and find any reason at all to be somewhere else doing something else... Never did me any harm (not true - life could have been so different).

I think the clue was in the 'boys grammar school', this isn't what college is normally like I don't think.

Mine was a sixth form college as my school didn't have one, it was no uniform, learning to drive, sacking it off if you wanted to, smoking too much weed in the first few months till I realised it didn't go well with academic performance, house parties, sports, pub at lunchtime. You need to leave your college and find a state-run one, they don't have rules.

Pretty pissed off at the moment and i thought i'd share my feelings here, i have no idea why really...

Basically i was just over 20mins late to college because i got a flat and had to walk a couple of miles or so, explained it all to my head of year and he said i'd get an hour detention for being over 20mins late. He told me to go back at lunch time and where he gave me a 3 hour detention on Saturday morning for lying (he phoned my parents who said i'd left at later than i'd told him)

Essentially i was going to be late anyway but a puncture slowed me down more, i only told him i had a puncture, not that i was already late (not really lying, more withholding the truth)

So yeah, i miss the first day of the season at Herne Hill.

Thoughts?

Offer to suck him off. He's obviously going to try and molest you on Saturday morning, that's why he's getting you on your own, so so give him some really good preemptive head and then you've got Saturday all to yourself.

the whole "big sporting event/training" thing goes down really well, especially if you get your parents to sign some form of letter. my college is what is being described in this thread, noone gives a shit if you turn up, its your own problem if you don't want to learn. i can sympathise though, my old school was a rigid shithole filled with bureaucratic cunts.

I went to a verrrr verrrrrrrrr posh grammar school and it was much the same story, except replace t-shirts with Charles Tyrwhitt shirts and cannabis with cocaine, and add an undertone of racism.

I can't believe the teacher phoned your parents and they didn't have your back, guilt them into making amends. This thread has made me realise at the age of 32 that I'd forgotten what it's like to be a teenager.

Nowadays less people my age are into the cure hence the lack of cure t shirts. Another popular style among the girls of my generation is to wear little and provocative clothing, even during the brutal cold of winter
