Pretty pissed off at the moment and i thought i'd share my feelings here, i have no idea why really...
Basically i was just over 20mins late to college because i got a flat and had to walk a couple of miles or so, explained it all to my head of year and he said i'd get an hour detention for being over 20mins late. He told me to go back at lunch time and where he gave me a 3 hour detention on Saturday morning for lying (he phoned my parents who said i'd left at later than i'd told him)
Essentially i was going to be late anyway but a puncture slowed me down more, i only told him i had a puncture, not that i was already late (not really lying, more withholding the truth)
So yeah, i miss the first day of the season at Herne Hill.
Thoughts?
er, do what most people do and carry a spare tube....idea

The education system is't what it used to/should be.
Wouldn't 'ave 'appened in my day etc etc

ok yeah sixth form i suppose, different buildings though, lecture theater, canteen etc. most people call it college, and we wear suits if that makes a difference?
@m.f i used to, but this is the first flat i've had in 6 years of cycling to school, first time marathon plus's have failed me, pretty good record though

under 18 = school. Over 18 = college/uni
anyway. You should get revenge.
You need the classroom to have a non-carpeted floor:
cut out small squares of banana skin. Glue the skin to the bottom of the legs of his desk. When he walks in the classroom he will lean on his desk. Desk slides across the floor. He goes down. You win -

pft, I had to go to school every Saturday anyway. 6th form was spent hanging out in the art room or smoking.

I went to school until I was 18. Then I went to University. Universities have colleges.

We had to wear suits on Sundays at school. Monday to Saturday, we were allowed to wear sports jackets.
The early 1970s were well groovy.

Mind you, no one was ever late for class.

Suits make us all look nice and smart, but hair? Not longer than your collar, and no shorter than a number 2 because you look like a "skinhead" apparently...
...unless you're black, then anything goes...
is that ok? i'm not too sure...

• #45
are you sure it's definately a school and not a borstal / youth detention centre
-

that was pretty much it at my school and that was in the early 2000's. They specified stiff collared shirts for the 6th form as well, to make sure those rebellious teens didn't wear polo shirts.

You poor, poor, poppet. How harsh it must feel to be so discriminated against.

Have you're parents signed some sort of contract stating the rule of the school overides parental rule? if no then get them to complain on your behalf...also tell the school that HH training is actually an Olympic qualifying event and you might miss your chance to represent their "college" at the highest level of sport.....

i was thinking about doing a similar thing actually, maybe requesting a move to a week day, or does that take the sting out it being a saturday morning..?

we just called it sixth form, some kids at my school were pretty particular about letting you know they were going to college not going to school, but they were in the same fucking building with the same teachers as theyd had at school for the past 5 years
